It's a brand new year and The Sims 4 is starting it right with their recent announcement of a surprise Stuff Pack! In addition to the community voted stuff pack, The Sims Team was busy with creating The Sims 4: Tiny Living. It was announced via a short teaser trailer and showed a focus on living in micro houses. It's been a huge trend for Simmers to create small builds and, in the real world, a lifestyle that comes with several different benefits. The trailer showed the return of a much-wanted item from past games and plenty of new things that will be available on January 21st. With the exciting news of a new Stuff Pack dropping in the near future, it'd be easy to miss some details. But, luckily, this article points out a few hidden ones.

10 Built-In Loveseat In The Murphy Beds

From what can be seen from the trailer, the new Stuff Pack is all about making the most out of some pretty small living spaces. And a great item for doing that just that is a Murphy Bed. The Murphy Bed was first introduced in The Sims 2: Apartment Life and was also in The Sims 3: University.

Just like in previous games, it can be folded into the wall when it's not in use. However, this rendition of the bed seems to include a loveseat. A loveseat folds down into itself when the bed comes down.

9 Murphy Beds Come With (Possibly Slotted?) Shelves

In the trailer, both of the Murphy Beds shown have a shelf on the underside of them. On both shelves, there are a few "clutter items" attached, with a pretty big space left between them. It could be possible that the shelf on the Murphy Bed will have at least one slot on it, letting Simmers use it for their own decor items.

Of course, that means once the Murphy Bed is down they can't get to the item, but most deco items are meant to just add a little flair to a room.

8 You Can Still Build Up To 5 Levels, Even With The Tile Limit

Tiny Living will come with a new Lot Type called "Tiny Home Residential". And with this new lot type, one of its requirements is a tile limit of 100. For Simmers who are used to making big houses, the new limit might pose a challenge, but there does seem to be a workaround for it.

The tile limit only seems to apply for tiles per level. One of the "tiny" houses shown in the trailer is an impressive 5 level house, with a rooftop garden. You can also have 2 more levels underground, which just might give "big house" builders the wiggle room they need.

7 Two Ways To Use A Murphy Bed

After watching the trailer a number of Simmers wonder if the Murphy bed would come with a new the risk of death, like in previous games. It isn't known for certain, though it is shown that Sims can get trapped while they're putting it away.

The first time we see the Murphy Bed used a Sim is using a remote to bring it down and the next time we see it, a Sim is putting it away manually. The Murphy beds look to be two different types of beds, so it's possible that one is remote controlled and the other has to be taken down manually.

6 Knitted CAS Clothing And Accessories May Tie-In With Arts & Crafts Stuff Pack

The trailer focused a little more on Build/Buy objects that Simmer will see in Tiny Living, though there it did showcase a few CAS items. This Stuff Pack's style is knitted items that are cozy and comfortable. EA's page for Tiny Living mentions that there will be knitted clothing and accessories, which just might have a tie in with the community voted Arts & Crafts - Knitting Stuff Sack that's under development.

In it, Sims will be able to create hats, sweaters and other knitted clothing and accessories that can be worn. All the knitted clothing in Tiny Living could be things Sims can create once Arts & Crafts - Knitting is released.

5 Major Fix On Routing Issues

No game is without its bugs and errors, and that includes the Sims 4. In the past one of the issues with building small houses was that sometimes it caused routing errors the more full or cluttered a space was. It happened with both cc and cc-free rooms, with Simmers having to choose between style or functionality.

But it just might be possible to have both with Tiny Living! Sims are seen moving around well-decorated rooms with ease.

4 Dining Chairs That Work With Counters

The Sims 4: Tiny Living comes with an assort of items that you can use to make the most out of a small space. From the Murphy bed to smaller coffee tables and dining tables. So far these items look to be a tiny house builder's dream and escape from using cheats to make things fit.

A small, but pretty big detail shown briefly was a new dining chair that seemed to be usable at both a table and a counter. Before without using cheats, dining chairs only worked at dining tables and if you wanted your sims to sit at the counter, you had to use a stool. Now it seems like Simmers will have one set of chairs that can be used for both!

3 All-In-One TV & TV Stand Build/Buy Item

Towards the end of the trailer, there is a clearer shot of different Build/Buy items that will come with the new Stuff Pack. For a few seconds, you can see what appears to be a TV, with a new TV stand. Both appear to be together and if that's true, it will be the first all-in-one TV and TV stand in the game.

Though TVs and TV stands have come separately in the past, letting Simmers mix and match to suit their styles, this all-in-one TV does look like it's made to save safe and probably some Simoleons.

2 There's A New Stereo, Might Be Built Into Another  Build/Buy Item

Despite how many packs have been released for The Sims 4, when it comes to stereo options, Simmers have been limited to the styles of radio that are available to them. It seems that The Sims 4: Tiny Living will give Simmers a (much needed) new stereo.

Made to look like a stereo receiver, it isn't known yet if it is its own separate object or if it comes attached to that the shelf unit it's on. Hopefully, it's a separate item that Simmers have the option to choose where they'd like to place it.

1 (Might Be) Ecological Based Mood Buffs

With the new stuff Pack, Sims who live in tiny houses gain special rewards. So far, according to the trailer, Sims can have lower bills, strengthen their relationships and earn comfort buffs. On EA's website, the lifestyle for Tiny Living (in the game and in real life) is described as all of those things including being more ecological. A screenshot from the game has two sims talking, one about the planet and the other about plants.

It's possible that one of the special rewards could be an ecological one, like improving the quality of plants grown on the lot. It wouldn't be too surprising as The Sims 4 has released content before related to being environmentally conservative and eco-conscious with Island Living and parts of Laundry Day.
