The Sims 4 is getting a frog-themed camping chair as part of the recently announced Little Campers Kit, and it looks awfully similar to Animal Crossing's beloved Froggy Chair - this froggy feud goes even further back than that, though.

Animal Crossing's Froggy Chair has been in the series ever since the first game, although it truly became iconic after New Leaf released and it became the subject of several wholesome memes. Although it was initially missing from New Horizons, it was eventually added back in, to the joy of pretty much everyone, which spawned a whole load of froggy chair memes.

With its immense froggy power, you might think that Animal Crossing is the only series to have ever had frog chairs, but The Sims has been one hop behind it the whole time. EA just revealed the "Little Campers Kit" for The Sims 4 and fans have been able to datamine the game to find out exactly what's included. One of the items is a green camping chair that has a frog's smiling face on it, and it looks an awful lot like Animal Crossing's own Froggy Chair.

Fans instantly spotted the resemblance, with some celebrating the fact that we're getting more frog-themed furniture in gaming, while others took to accuse EA of plagarising Animal Crossing and taking one of its most popular items for itself. The Little Campers Kit even uses the froggy chair as the main icon for the pack, putting it front and centre for all to see.

This isn't the first time The Sims has had a frog-themed chair, however. As it turns out, The Sims 3 actually had its own frog-themed stool all the way back in 2010, called the "Novelty Office Chair". It came with many different animal-themed seats, but the frog one looks remarkably similar to Animal Crossing's Froggy Chair.

Although The Sims 4's froggy camping chair looks even more similar to Animal Crossing's version, at least we know it's a bit of a running theme for the two games - some frogiendly competition, as it were.
