It is once again time for that most auspicious of occasions. No, I’m not talking about Christmas or New Year’s, or any other official holiday. I’m talkin’ about the Steam Winter Sale, which begins today and runs until January 5.

The Steam Winter Sale is Steam’s biggest sale of the year with huge discounts on the latest and greatest of PC games. You can get games up to 80% off or more, so let's take a look at some of the best deals on the platform.

The award-winning Deathloop is leading the Steam Winter Sale charge with a 50% discount. New World is 25% off, while 2020's game of the year Hades is 35% off. No Man's Sky is back at its customary 50% off, Dark Souls 3 is 75% off, and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is 63% off.

You want more deals? Of course you do. Destiny 2: Beyond Light is 50% off, and with two months before Witch Queen, that gives you plenty of time to make it through a year's worth of story content. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is 80% off, making it once again one of the best deals in terms of dollars per hour of gameplay. Borderlands 3 is 75% off, and Horizon Zero Dawn - Complete Edition is 50% off with months to spare before Horizon Forbidden West's arrival (albeit on PlayStation first).

In other Steam news, The Steam Awards just announced this year’s nominees and opened up voting for all Steam users. Valheim, Cyberpunk 2077, and Resident Evil Village are all up for two awards each, while The Game Awards' Game of the Year It Takes Two is up for best co-op game. Nier Replicant, another winner at The Game Awards, is up for best soundtrack, while loop games Deathloop, Loop Hero, and Twelve Minutes are all in it for the Most Innovate Gameplay award. Head on over to The Steam Awards to cast your vote now.
