When spies establish their lairs, they often bring their supplies with them. More often than not, it includes valuable treasures such as money and weapons intended for whatever it is that the spies are meant to do. In The Witcher 3 treasure hunt, Tinker, Hunter, Soldier, Spy, Geralt finds the body of one such individual with hints as to where his stash is.

Where To Start Treasure Hunt: Tinker, Hunter, Soldier, Spy

You can find the note starting this quest at an abandoned site east of Isolated Hut near Novigrad. The abandoned site is populated by a particularly hostile group of fallen knights which are tougher than your ordinary bandits.

Killing the fallen knights will let the population return with a 50 crown reward for restoring their home. A merchant will return with them, letting you sell any junk you have cluttering your inventory.

Head to the watchtower south of the town to find the body. Make sure to take both the letter and the key before reading the former to start the quest.

Finding The Treasure Chest

The note leads you to a lake south of the town. It's far enough to justify calling Roach for a ride. Once you arrive, use Geralt's Witcher Senses to highlight the chest in red through the water.

It is directly beneath the pier, making it difficult to spot if you are standing on it. It is easier to spot if you stand on the shore of the lake instead, where its outline is easier to see.

Once you find it, dive into the lake to open the chest with the key. While there aren't any guaranteed items, make sure to empty the chest out. The items can be dismantled or sold even if they aren't an upgrade from your equipment.
