There is no doubt Netflix's new show, The Witcher has hit the ground running. Many have even agreed it has taken up the gauntlet from Game of Thrones, earning a mass following and even boosting the player base for The Witcher 3.

As with anything that gains traction in today's society, there are already countless memes and video mash-ups from the show, including the catchy tune "Toss A Coin To Your Witcher" on loop. Now, fans can enjoy a minute-long symphony of Geralt's grunts, sighs, and other guttural tones!

That might sound like a lot of boarish grunting for a short 8-episode first season. But this is Geralt's leading mannerism throughout the show, apart from his intent death-glare which is mainly reserved for Jaskier. Geralt uses his range of guttural noises to convey every emotion from anger and apprehension to his common state of indifference. The Witcher's limited display of amusement is even marked by a particular grunt tone, slightly softer than those of anger or concern. It's possible with all his time spent astride Roach he has picked up an inclination for speaking in horse-tongue and let's face it, the loyal equine is Geralt's only true confidant.

There are a couple of versions of the supercut floating about the internet. The first, by Bate Clips on YouTube, stands at 1:34 minutes long and laces in a couple of extra anecdotes. At one point Jaskier begins to harmonize with Geralt, joining in with lovely grunting vocals of his own. Reddit user Al-Andalusia made a shorter version, with a run time of fifty-two seconds, creating a quick-cut montage of Geraltish tones. Unfortunately, Jaskier's harmony was cut from the Reddit user's rendition.

While The Witcher didn't seem to be a hit with critics right off, the fans have overruled that notion. Rising up through the ranks and gaining acclaim equal to super-hits such as Stranger Things, The Witcher seems destined to more than just Ciri.

Season two of The Witcher isn't set to premiere until 2021, but fans in need of a fix can get a small dose of Geralt through this guttural ballad.
