Netflix's The Witcher is a bona fide phenomenon. Naturally, its massive streaming success quickly led to an abundance of online Witcher content. It's almost 2020, and the way things work now, the amount of memes about Yennefer et al. being shared is maybe the single most telling metric of the show's success. In addition to posts about Geralt, Yennefer and the rest of the cast, the online Witcher community has taken in a huge way to Jaskier the bard's original hit single "Toss A Coin To Your Witcher." Among the deluge of fan responses to the song, modder hub997 has just released a mod for the original Witcher that adds a cut scene with Jaskier's magnum opus to the 2007 game.

The mod replaces a cut scene in The New Narakort, an inn in the city of Vizima, with a performance of the song by Dandelion (the loosely translated name of the bard, whereas the show uses his direct Polish name, Jaskier) once installed.

The basis of this new mod is the existing "Rise of the White Wolf Enhanced Edition" of The Witcher, which updates the base Witcher game with a variety of new content, including additional ballads by Dandelion. hub997 modeled his new cut scene on those from his mod's predecessor, editing the movements of members of the NPC crowd to be more lively and modifying Dandelion's strumming so that his lute playing would sync with the rhythm of the song.

He currently plans to release a future mod adding another new cut scene of a second song from The Witcher TV series as well. In his notes about the contents of his current mod, hub997 expresses having wished to add an NPC orchestra on-stage to build out the visual aspect of the performance, which was ultimately unfeasible due to technological limitations. This and future mods may be updated with his desired backing band at a later date.

Also created by hub997 is a mod that replaces Geralt's eyes with new graphics inspired by Geralt's apperance in the TV series. These and other Witcher mods can be found on his profile on the Nexus Mods website.
