In the unpredictable & cruel world of outlaws, women, and children often face the worst consequence, but that's not the case for these fellers.

The notorious Van der Linde Gang is a group of criminals, free-thinkers, and believers with a price on their heads. Led by their charismatic leader Dutch, the gang prospered in their glory days, but only to find themselves in an endless war against the authority, gang rivals, and the government. With that being said, being a handy fighter is a must when you live in such an unapologetic world.

The following list features nine female & child of the gang, ranked based on their skills, & major spoilers of Red Dead Redemption 2, too. You've been warned!

9 Jack Marston (Toddler)

Jack Marston was born in the world of outlaws. Although he was the group's weakest link, he was dearly and carefully watched by his aunts and uncles. During the chapter of Braithwaite vs. Gray families, young Jack was kidnapped by the Braithwaites, leaving the gang no choice but to erase them off the map forever and set their manor ablaze.

However, Arthur can choose to praise or antagonize Jack, prompting Jack to shout at him. That's pretty brave for a toddler.

8 Molly O'Shea

It's not exaggerating to say that Molly O'Shea is the most hated woman in the gang. Born in a wealthy family in Ireland, young Molly eventually came to the United States and joined the group sometime in 1899.

Her over-the-top narcissism and stuck-up attitude make most women in the gang hate her, especially Karen Jones and Susan Grimshaw. She's also the only gang member who never participated in basecamp's chores, let alone fighting. Later on the game, she was shot by Miss Grimshaw.

7 Tilly Jackson

Tilly Jackson had always been an outlaw for most of her life. She started her life of crime at the age of 12 when she joined the Foreman Brothers gang before killing the gang leader's cousin, giving her no choice but to flee the gang.

Later on, Tilly joined Dutch's gang, and she became a valuable member of the gang and even saved Jack from the Pinkertons in the absence of other gang members. At the end of the game, Tilly married a Haitian lawyer, was pregnant with his baby and frequently saw Mary-Beth.

6 Jenny Kirk

Although there aren't many details that can be dug out about Jenny Kirk, it's clear she was clear that she was a part of the infamous violent Blackwater robbery-gone-wrong. If she was no tough, Dutch would never have chosen her to be a part of the robbery plan. She eventually passed away from gunshot later in the wilderness.

Back in the days, she was Lenny's love interest, although Dutch and Hosea agreed that the two would never match. Micah claimed to have slept with her and described her as a 'dirty little thing.'

5 Mary-Beth Gaskill

Behind her pens, Mary-Beth Gaskill was a great criminal mind. Her good-natured look makes her a perfect con-artist, or Rockstar describes her best, "By the time people realize they've been duped, Mary-Beth is already on her way home with the money." Lucky for her, Pearson, and Uncle, the three fled the gang before the inevitable happened.

On Epilogue, Mary-Beth became a romance novelist under the moniker of Leslie Dupont, and you visit her with John Marston at the train station in Valentine.

4 Karen Jones

Karen Jones had a love for outlaw life, and she's always good at being a scam artist. In the late 1890s, she helped Arthur and Javier rob a bank by dressing as a nun and holding a firearm underneath it. She was appointed for the same role during the Valentine bank heist, proving that she always delivers and good at what she does.

However, things quickly turned against her after the death of her love interest, Sean, and she would easily be found drunk at the camp. According to a letter from Tilly, she believed that Karen had died from her alcoholism.

3 Abigail Marston

Another talented scam artist is Abigail Marston (or Roberts before the Epilogue). She was an orphan who grew up 'scraping out a living in dive bars and brothels in the West.' During the Lemoyne National Bank failed heist, she was tasked to be a useful distraction for the guards.

Even though Hosea ended up captured and killed, Abigail still swiftly managed to sneak out of danger. Her signature weapon is the Cattleman Revolver, and it can be seen on both Red Dead Redemption games.

2 Susan Grimshaw

Susan Grimshaw from Red Dead Redemption2

If Dutch van der Linde and Hosea Matthews were the gang's fatherly figure, then Susan Grimshaw was the maternal figure. Along with Arthur, she was one of the first original members of the gang. She became romantically involved with Dutch at some point but later split even though she decided to stay in the group.

Implying the outlaw lifestyle taught Susan many things, and she's pretty lethal when using shotguns and revolvers as the two are her signature weapons. Unfortunately, she faced a poignant fate when Micah shot her during the gang's standoff at the end of the game..

1 Sadie Adler

Red Dead Redemption 2 Sadie With Revolver

Lastly, we have Sadie Adler, possibly the most lethal of them all. Sadie was just an ordinary ranch girl, but the O'Driscolls took her innocence from her when they robbed her house and killed her husband, Jake, in the process. Grieving from his death, Sadie eventually went on an odyssey of vengeance, and players may choose to help her or not.

Either way, she's not a woman to cross, proven by how many O'Driscoll men she slew before brutally and savagely stabbed 'the fat feller with a beard,' her husband's killer.
