Square Enix will be launching a free demo for the upcoming Theatrhythm Final Bar Line on February 1. According to the company, player progress will carry over into the full game, currently scheduled to be released on February 16. Square Enix will be holding a livestream showcasing the game on January 30.This will be the latest addition to the Theatrhythm series which benefits from a large following on account of its unique blend of roleplaying elements and musical mechanics. The first entry was released on February 16, 2012 for the Nintendo 3DS. This was followed up with a sequel, Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call, a couple of years later on April 24, 2014.RELATED: Final Fantasy 14: Complete Guide To Wondrous TailsThe game takes place in a magical world filled with music and rhythm where players can experience the beloved soundtracks of the Final Fantasy series in a brand new and exciting way. Theatrhythm Final Bar Line will feature classic songs including One Winged Angel, Mambo de Chocobo, and Aerith's Theme. The demo is going to have a selection of 30 tracks.

Players will get to experience three separate Music Stages consisting of Field Music, Battle Music, and Event Music. The modes each have their own style of gameplay, offering players a slightly different experience. Field Music for example is a relaxed mode featuring themed landscapes, while Battle Music is a faster paced and more intense mode requiring quick reflexes.

Theatrhythm is known for the outstanding quality of its graphics and animation. The games feature beautiful environments, colorful characters, and fluid movesets which nicely complement their music. The first and so far most popular entry in the series, Theatrhythm Final Fantasy, was praised for its large selection of soundtracks, offering players a satisfying second look at some of their favorite moments.
