Beating Theatrhythm: Final Bar Line's single-player campaign is surprisingly easy. All you need to do is clear seven series titles to unlock the Theatrhythm Series. Then, clear the Theatrhythm Series songs, and you're finished! Well...not quite finished.
There is so much to do after beating this game! For instance, you still have several series titles to playthrough if you haven't already. And don't forget the other fun game modes, like Multi Battle and the newly unlocked Endless World. Regarding Final Bar Line, "beating" the game is just the tip of the Rhythmia crystal.
10 Complete Every Series Quest
The Series Quest campaign is far from finished after beating the game. After all, there are twenty-nine series titles in all. That means hours of songs you've yet to play! Not to mention dozens of characters left to unlock.
Plus, clearing a Series Title is not the same as completing it. Sure, you may have played through every music stage without dying. But did you complete each quest mission? If you haven't, you're missing many rewards, including rare CollectaCards, cute moogle outfits, and useful items! So, what are you waiting for? Get cracking!
9 Reach The Highest Stages In Endless World
Beating Final Bar Line grants one significant reward, access to Endless World mode. Endless World is an endurance mode that tasks your party with traveling from one music stage to the next. If you complete the stage's quest, you'll win a reward. But if you fail, you'll lose a health stock. Lose all three stocks, and it's game over!
Endless World is a fun challenge for those who want to focus more on grinding and less on the traditional series titles. Plus, there are several feats you can unlock by reaching higher and higher stages. So, do you have what it takes to reach Endless World's top echelons?
8 Unlock Every Character
After maxing out the stats of your favorite characters, recruiting new ones may seem redundant. After all, aren't all Physical types the same, etc.? But we're here to tell you that's not the case!
Theatrhythm does an excellent job of making each character feel distinct. For instance, each hero and villain gets one ability that only they can use. Plus, their combinations of abilities play specific roles. So you may discover that a character you unlock later on is the perfect fit for that one mission you can't crack!
(Most importantly, don't you want all your cute little Final Fantasy buddies to be together?)
7 Level-Up Every Character
If you've been playing Theatrhythm long enough, you know Level 99 is far from the end of your character's training. There are nine star levels to reach, each granting heightened stats for your character. Plus, each star level takes significantly longer to raise.
And what about your characters that haven't reached Level 99? They need your attention too! After all, increasing their levels will teach your lower-level characters new abilities, thus unlocking their full potential.
6 Collect Every CollectaCard
CollectaCards have strategic and aesthetic features. On the one hand, Character and Summon CollectaCards raise your character stats and summon attack power, respectively. But on the other hand, Memory CollectaCards reveal fan-favorite Final Fantasy moments and rare artwork to view. Sounds great to us!
We have a hunch that if you just beat Theatrhythm, you're still a long way from completing your CollectaCard collection. How could we be so bold in our assumption? Well, there are 1,225 CollectaCards in total. That's more than the number of official Pokémon! And we doubt you collected all of those.
5 Attempt Supreme Difficulty
Rhythm games have a reputation for their rampant difficulty levels. Who hasn't watched a Youtube video of someone galloping on a DDR machine or shredding their Rock Band guitar at lightning speed? And don't get us started with beatmania's seven-key complexity!
Theatrhythm: Final Bar Line's straightforward control scheme and easy-to-learn gameplay is deceiving. Sure, the Basic difficulty is a walk in the park. Even Expert stages are easy as pie for rhythm game enthusiasts. However, the game's difficulty takes a steep hike at the Ultimate level, with faster rhythm inputs and more simultaneous triggers to track. Still, Supreme goes even further. It's a challenge mode designed for rhythm game masters! Think you can handle it?
4 Curate A Final Fantasy Playlist
Now that you've beaten Theatrhythm, you surely have enough music to compile a stellar Final Fantasy playlist. Luckily, the game lets you save up to three in its Music Player.
The Music Player is a treat to use. Adding music to your playlist is straightforward, and the playback controls are identical to anything on Apple Music or Spotify. In addition, Switch users can listen to their new playlist on the go with Screen Off mode for its handheld display.
3 Accomplish Every Feat
There are 100 feats in Theatrhythm: Final Bar Line. "Beat the game and watched the ending" is among the first five. That means you have a lot more achieving to do!
Feats range from straightforward tasks to highly challenging trials. For instance, you can earn a feat for playing a song from a particular game for the first time. However, you'll struggle to clear the feat "Achieved 9,800,000 points or higher on a Supreme Score." In addition, several feat requirements are hidden. So, you'll have to work even harder to find out what they are!
2 Build Up Your Multi Battle Rating
Any gamer will tell you that single-player and online multi-player are different beasts. We all assume we're the best around when there's no competition. But, it takes battling fellow Theatrhythmers to strive for improvement. So, why not test your rhythm/action skills in a Multi Battle?
Suppose you don't feel like playing ranked matches. Casual matches still offer plenty of initiatives. For instance, players get to pick up a new CollectaCard after each Multi Battle. Plus, players meeting for the first time exchange summonstones after Multi Battles! See? It's good to put yourself out there!
1 Invite A Friend For Local Pair Play
Online is the primary space for competitive play. But what if you want a co-op experience? Theatrhythm's Pair Style allows two local players to work together, assigning half the rhythmic responsibilities to each.
Pair play is a mixed bag of fun! Perhaps you and your partner will make perfect harmonies. Or you'll both argue about who missed the last rhythm trigger. Either way, it's a chaotically good time!
