It's been another quiet week for GTA Online, with the most interesting stories surrounding the game including Take-Two going after fan projects again, rumours about the GTA Trilogy, and calls for transphobic content to be removed from the Expanded and Enhanced edition of GTA 5. Don't worry though, there's no more trailer discourse.

Triple The Rewards For Lamar Contract Missions This Week

Let's start off with Rockstar's own official announcements for GTA Online. This week the big draw is triple the rewards for any of Lamar's contract missions, meaning that players can get triple GTA $ and RP for completing missions from one of the game's first contacts. Similarly, Land Races will also offer triple rewards, whilst Offence Defence and Time Trials will have double. Rockstar also announced that the Emperor Vectre is the Car Meet challenge prize of the week. No free hoodie this week, sadly.

Rockstar Called On To Remove Transphobic Content From GTA 5 Expanded And Enhanced

With the Expanded and Enhanced version of GTA 5 promising to improve on the original game in meaningful ways, LGBTQ+ gaming industry advocate group Out Making Games has called for Rockstar to remove transphobic content from the game. The group says that several of the games NPCs are transphobic and that their removal from the game would "have a positive impact on the new generation of players who will pick up a copy". Rockstar is yet to respond to the letter, but here's hoping it does.

GTA Reverse Engineering Project Taken Down For The Second Time Amidst Take-Two Lawsuit

Another week, another Take-Two takedown. This time is unique in that it's actually the second time that the projects have been taken down, with Take-Two issuing a copyright claim back in February against re3 and reVC. These reverse-engineered projects added quality-of-life features to both Vice City and GTA 3, and the group behind it tried to issue a counterclaim against the initial copyright strike. They've now been sued by Take-Two, with re3 and reVC being taken away altogether.

Here's a much more light-hearted story to cool down from all the copyright strikes. One GTA Online player has discovered that boats actually run with even the smallest amount of water. Redditor FrankWDoom posted a video to the GTA Online subreddit, showing them using a boat to travel up a hillside river in Los Santos. This shows that as long as the game sees any amount of water, it'll let you travel up. Here's hoping someone works it into transforming races.

GTA Remaster Trilogy Rated In Korea, Rumoured To Release In November

Here's the weekly GTA Trilogy rumour, although this time it's a lot more solid and almost definitive proof that the game exists. Gamers spotted that the GTA Trilogy has been rated by an official Korean ratings board, which makes it incredibly unlikely to be just a rumour anymore. As an extra bit of spice to the story, Kotaku is claiming that we'll see the trilogy being released in November of this year.
