Although Hearthstone had its new expansion, Ashes of Outland, launch last week, there is still plenty going on in the esports scene and in ranked ladder play. For starters, Blizzard has formally announced the newest Hearthstone Grandmasters who will be competing at the highest skill levels in the world in the Grandmasters 2020 Season 1, which begins shortly.
The new Grandmasters consist of Guillermo “Empanizado” Tolosa from Mexico, Mihai “Lnguagehackr” Dragalin from Canada, Jason “PapaJason” Meller from the United States, Lo Tsz “Kin0531” Kin from Hong Kong, Wataru “posesi” Ishibashi from Japan, Theo “Felkeine” Dumont and Martin “Zhym” Prete, both from France.

Apart from esports, Blizzard handed out four nerfs to the new Demon Hunter class in an effort to reign in what can only be described as a ridiculous oversight in allowing such an overpowered class to pass quality testing and enter into the live game. It has now been nearly five days since the nerfs, and the situation is largely unchanged.
On the one hand, the Demon Hunter class is not the best class by the massive margins shown on HSReplay.net, but it is still the top dog, seconded only by Warlock, but otherwise dominating the competition.
