Many features that appeared in Cyberpunk 2077’s trailers never made it into the final game. Of course, this provided the perfect inspiration for modders, who have once again restored lost content for all (on PC that is) to experience.

However, it’s the Mass Effect modding community that’s been particularly busy this week, with romance mods, some Thane love, and of course, an Among Us crossover. All of that and more features in this week’s modding news round-up.

Mass Effect Mod Lets You Romance Everyone

Deciding who Shepard should hook up with is hard, so why decide at all? I mean, heck, the end of life as we know it is on the cards - you’d think we could leave jealousy at the airlock. Well, thanks to the Poly-Romance Mod for Mass Effect Legendary Edition, you can do just that. It only works with Mass Effect 3, but it enables you to build the most dangerous polycule in the galaxy. Basically, having triggered a romance with one character won’t stop you from proceeding with another, so you can share the love throughout the Normandy.

Mass Effect Mod Makes It Possible To Save Thane

Of course, there’s always one crewmate who won’t be around for the glorious Normandy polycule: Thane. In what broke the hearts of players back in 2012, Thane dies during the events of Mass Effect 3, no matter what you do. However, you can fix that with this new mod.

Thane Can Live from modder phoenixsoul13 doesn’t automatically save our favourite sad frog dad, but it gives us the chance to help him see the Reaper war to the end. If you completed Thane’s loyalty mission (and didn’t fail it), then you're rewarded with him holding out a little longer, and potentially being cured. The messages you receive from him will vary based on your relationship.

Cyberpunk 2077's Cars Can Finally Fly Thanks To This Mod

Taking a quick break from Mass Effect, we have this creation for Cyberpunk 2077. Modder Jack Humbert has added flying cars to the game, helping you get more immersed in the futuristic setting of Night City. In the base game, any flying cars you get in are just part of cutscenes, but now you can get in the driver’s seat yourself. Who needs a road? It’s meant to be 2077.

As you can see in the video, ducking and weaving between skyscrapers looks like a whole lot of fun - but dangerous. If you thought driving on wheels was hard, you haven’t seen anything yet.

Deus Ex Randomiser Mod Includes Dark Souls-Inspired Death Markers

One of the best bits of any Souls game is seeing how other players died. Now, you can do that in Deus Ex, kinda. The Deus Ex randomiser mod has added a feature that leaves notes around the game, telling you how other players died. To see this yourself, go up to any floating skull and activate it. And if you’re just curious and want to have a laugh, head over to the Twitter account that’s sharing a bunch of ways the game beat players - and try not to end up on there yourself.

Mass Effect's Among Us Mod Is The Only Way I Want To Play It

Rounding off on yet another Mass Effect mod, we have this one that caught our boss Stacey Henley’s eye. Ever wanted to fight the little guys in Among Us? Well, today’s your lucky day, because you can now do a full playthrough of Mass Effect 3 with all of the Reapers replaced by Among Us crewmates. They’ll even scream “Among Us” at you as they destroy the galaxy, if that’s something that sounds appealing to you.

The best bit, however, is the mod’s description, which reveals why the creator made it in the first place. “I can't fucking take it. I see an image of a random object posted and then I see it, I fucking see it. ‘Oh that looks kinda like the among us guy’”, the description reads. “I can't live anymore. Among Us has destroyed my fucking life. I want to eject myself from this plane of existence. MAKE IT STOP!'
