We’ve seen a lot of variety in the modding community this week. From much-requested features - such as more Battlefront 2 characters and a better camera mode for Cyberpunk - to a whole bunch of Stardew Valley shitposting, we certainly haven’t lacked for mods to talk about.

All of that and more features in our round-up of the biggest mods from the past seven days.

Battlefront 2 Ahsoka mod

Star Wars: Battlefront 2 Mod Adds Over 25 New Characters

Star Wars: Battlefront 2 may have disappointed many at launch, but the fans it did have felt let down when its DLC was scrapped. Now, two years after development ceased, players can experience some of what was planned - and much more. 29 new characters in total have been added via the new mod, Battlefront 2022. This includes fan favourites such as Ahsoka, Jango Fett, Mace Windu, Jyn Erso, and many, many more.

Fan-Made Cyberpunk 2077 Camera Mode Removes Most Restrictions

Cyberpunk 2077’s camera mode is pretty good - too good, some (me) would say, with a folder full of screenshots. But it does have some annoying restrictions that stop you from posing V and Johnny just as you want them. Thankfully, we now have a fan-made camera mode that gives us a lot more freedom. For starters, there’s no collision, so you can shove characters as close together as you’d like. Johnny and V also get a bunch of new poses, and they look great. This is perfect for anyone who would like to waste 100 more hours taking selfies of V, as if we needed any help with that.

Skyrim Mod Adds Elden Ring-Style Messages For Other Players

One of Elden Ring’s best features is its messaging system. Nothing beat the launch week, where “try finger but hole” greeted all new players. Now, that very feature has come to Skyrim - via a mod, anyway. The Building Bridges mod is actually a step up from FromSoft’s offerings, as it doesn’t limit you to pre-set words. No, you can leave any message you want. God help us all.

Mass Effect 3 Kaidan Ashley Virmire Survivor Standoff with Council

You Can Now Save Kaidan And Ashley With This Mass Effect Legendary Edition Mod

Kaidan or Ashley? That debate has been fought among Mass Effect fans for years now. Sure, it seems that most players have taken the “why not both?” approach in recent years, but the human duo have their fans. And now, those fans can spare themselves some heartache. A new mod makes it possible to complete the first Mass Effect with both Kaidan and Ashley still breathing by the end, restoring cut content that let you save them both on Virmire. Future updates of the mod will look into carrying this decision over into Mass Effect 2 and 3, giving you a very different experience from their vanilla stories.

Grandpa's Bed Mods Are Taking Over Stardew Valley And They Are Glorious

If there’s one thing that’s been flooding your news feed this week (that isn’t awful news about the real world), it’s probably been the Stardew Valley grandpa bed mods that have been taking over the community. For whatever reason, fans have taken it upon themselves to shitpost the hell out of your in-game dead grandpa, releasing mods that turn him into everything from Kirby to a Ping Pong table. Since then, it’s only got more wild. Some remove the bed altogether, and have him lay on the floor - in the iconic “dead person in Family Guy” pose, of course. Another has him instead sleep inside the envelope he holds in his hand. And in turn, replaces the envelope with a tiny bed. The creativity is as impressive as it is terrifying.
