This week's big new game is the one we've all been waiting for: Final Fantasy VII: Remake. However, there's a couple of other notable titles worth checking out as well.

Tuesday will see the release of Disaster Report 4: Summer MemoriesDisaster Report is a series of 3rd-person action-adventure games about societies struggling to hold together after massive natural disasters. In Summer Memories, a devastating earthquake has just hit a Japanese city and the player must make choices that will either bring people together or push them further apart.  Our full review will be up Tuesday and so far, we're really enjoying it. There is, unfortunately, a particular storyline that needlessly features sexual violence.

Another new release this week is Obduction. This first-person adventure game from the creators of Myst promises delivers everything players loved about classic puzzle-solving games Myst and Riven. We're excited to see how it stacks up to some of the greatest adventure games ever made when it releases on Friday.

But of course, the main event is Final Fantasy VII: Remake on Friday. Players in Europe and Australia have already gotten to play the remake for about a week while the rest of us wait patiently. Square added a preload option for the game early this week for digital downloaders and, considering the game is reported to be around 80gbs, it's probably a good idea.

You can check out all of our FFVII: Remake features, guides, and reviews here.
