THQ Nordic have announced their plans for Darksiders III DLC after the game hits stores this November.

The original Darksiders had players take control of War, one of the Four Horseman of the Apocalypse, as he rode around and did war to a lot of people and things. Darksiders II starred the second Horseman, Death, as he took part in a very heavy-metal hack-and-slash adventure game.

Now we’re about to have Darksiders III which features the hitherto unmentioned Horseman, Fury. She’s the sister of War and Death, and is a lot more, shall we say, marketable than Pestilence or Famine.

Seriously, those guys are gross.

Anyway, Fury continues the vague Christian symbolism in Darksiders III on a quest to destroy the seven deadly sins. Since her name is Fury, we’re sure that at least one deadly sin will turn out to have been inside her all along, setting us up for a pretty predictable mid-game plot twist.

Also unsurprisingly, there will be DLC.

According to a recent press release from THQ Nordic, Darksiders III will get two big DLC packs after it releases in November. The first is called The Crucible, and as the name suggests, it will mostly be a battle arena where Fury fends off wave after wave of enemies for loot and glory.

A mysterious entity contacts Fury to say that there’s this place called The Crucible where she can test her mettle as the world’s greatest warrior. That and get some sweet loot. Naturally, she agrees, and you’ve got DLC numero uno.

The second DLC is called Keepers of the Void and will be a slightly more story-driven addition to the main campaign. "On a quest from Vulgrim, Fury must travel into the Serpent Holes to remove an ancient threat that resides there," says the press release, adding there will be more puzzles, enemies, and of course, loot.

Of note will be a new weapon from The Hollows, as well as something called The Abyssal Armor that sounds pretty nifty.

Pricing was not announced for the DLC, but both are available as part of the Deluxe Edition which will retail for $69.99. The regular, non-DLC-laden edition costs $59.99, so that’s a $10.00 value buy right there.

Darksiders III drops on November 27th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on Steam and GoG. Pre-orders are available here.
