There are an endless amount of creative ways people have proposed to their partners, but three years on, this is still our favorite.

When you have been with someone for long enough that you feel as if it is the right time to propose, coming up with the perfect way in which to do so can be extremely stressful. Do you do it in public? Is what you have planned meaningful and romantic enough? Is there another way which would be a lot better?

If you are lucky enough to have found a fellow gamer to spend the rest of your life with, then chances are you won't come up with a better way to propose than the gentleman below. LA Pike created an entire 2D side-scroller for his fiancée, Lauren to complete. Only once she had completed the adventure would she realize that she was, in fact, being proposed to.

Pike recorded the entire proposal and posted it on YouTube. Since posting it three years ago, it has been viewed almost 1 million times. As you can see, Lauren finds a level or two pretty challenging. Thankfully, not so challenging that she threw in the towel. That could have made for a pretty awkward moment. Personally, we would have called it a night when the Sonic running out of air music began to play. It still gives us nightmares.

What Lauren doesn't know is that her engagement ring is behind the laptop screen the entire time. Once she completes the game, a message appears that reads "It's dangerous to go alone, take this!" and not the far more daunting "your proposal is in another castle."  That's when LA Pike presents her with the ring and asks her to marry him. Thankfully, she says yes.

As touching as the above is, LA Pike isn't the only person in the world who has employed the help of a game to propose to their life partner. Gary Hudston recruited Portal's GLaDOS to help him pop the question years ago, another successful proposal as far as we know. Now excuse us as we try to figure out a way we can use Fortnite to propose marriage to someone.
