Since Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is inspired by the tabletop roleplaying game Dungeons and Dragons, it includes a fun tabletop setup that allows you to move between the various in-game maps. There are even quests to complete and collectibles to unlock!
One of those collectibles is the Lucky Dice. These are special items that provide a boost to your 'Loot Luck' stat (meaning that you're more likely to get good loot from drops). In this article, we're detailing where to find, and how to reach, every Lucky Die in the Overworld.
1 - Some Backtracking Required
- Quest Progression Required To Access: Bunkers & Badasses
This Lucky Die is found right after you enter the Overworld for the first time! You'll need to do a tiny bit of backtracking, though, because you don't unlock the ability to melee until further along the path.
2 - Some Dungeoning Required
- Quest Progression Required To Access: Emotion of the Ocean (and preceding main quests)
There's a Lucky Die in the ocean after it gets, y'know, blown up. You'll have to go through that dungeon on the left to reach it.
3 - Snowy Mountain Climb
- Quest Progression Required To Access: Working Blueprint
This Lucky Die is reached by going through a dungeon in the Snowy area of the Overworld. To get access, help the fellow build his rainbow bridge during the quest 'Working Blueprint.'
4 - Invisible Ocean Highway
- Quest Progression Required To Access: Ballad of Bones (and preceding main quests), Lens of the Deceiver
Also in the ocean, quite near to the second Lucky Die, is another one! To get it, however, you'll need to be able to get over the Invisible Bridges by completing the 'Lens of the Deceiver' quest.
5 - Cliffside
- Quest Progression Required To Access: Ballad of Bones (and preceding main quests), Lens of the Deceiver
Once you have access to Invisible Bridges, you'll gain access to this new side path in the Overworld. If you go up it, this Lucky Die is just resting on the cliff.
6 - Ocean Depths
- Quest Progression Required To Access: Ballad of Bones (and preceding main quests), Lens of the Deceiver
You also need Invisible Bridge access to get to this Lucky Die. It's actually quite close to the quest-giver who eventually lets you see the bridges.
7 - Shortcut-Adjacent
- Quest Progression Required To Access: The Son Of A Witch (and preceding main quests)
This Lucky Die is immediately to your right after you exist the Godswell after helping the Wastard for the 'The Son Of A Witch' main quest.
8 - Tucked In A Precarious Place
- Quest Progression Required To Access: The Son Of A Witch (and preceding main quests)
Again, this is found right after you leave the Godswell. To reach it, you must have access to the Invisible Bridges.
9 - Hop, Skip, And A Jump
- Quest Progression Required To Access: The Son Of A Witch (and preceding main quests)
You'll be able to see this Lucky Die after going through the Drowned Abyss and The Godswell, but you won't be able to reach it yet. After completing the main quest 'The Son Of A Witch' in Kornak's Wall and getting the ability to dispel Hexes, return to this Lucky Die! You'll be able to dispel it and use the geyser to jump over.
10 - Grassy Die
- Quest Progression Required To Access: The Son Of A Witch (and preceding main quests)
You can see this Die after completing the Wargtooth Shallow map and emerging on the other side, but you won't be able to reach it. Keep going through the story until you reach Kornak's Wall and get the ability to dispel Hexes, then return. You'll dispel the magic and pass right through!
11 - Back To The Start
- Quest Progression Required To Access: The Son Of A Witch (and preceding main quests)
You can see this Die right from the first time you enter the Overworld, but you won't be able to get it until much further down the line. Upon completing the 'The Son Of A Witch' main quest and learning to dispel Hexes, return here! You'll be able to dispel it and access the Die.
12 - Ocean Hex
- Quest Progression Required To Access: The Son Of A Witch (and preceding main quests)
You'll be able to see this Die after completing the 'Emotion Of The Ocean' quest and blowing up the ocean, but you can't get it yet. First, keep progressing through the main story until you get to the end of Karnok's Wall and learn to dispel Hexes. Then all you need to do is return and do that!
13 - Snowy Climb
- Quest Progression Required To Access: Working Blueprint, Lens Of The Deceiver
To get this Lucky Dice, you need:
- Access to the snowy part of the map, which you can get through the 'Working Blueprint' quest
- The ability to see invisible bridges, earned through the 'Lens Of The Deceiver' quest
Then, just go grab it!
14 - Long Drop
- Quest Progression Required To Access: The Son Of A Witch (and preceding main quests)
You can see this Lucky Die after completing the Drowned Abyss and The Godswell maps, but can't reach it. Just keep going until you finish the 'The Son Of A Witch' quest and exit into the Overworld on the other side. Then you can drop down on it from above!
15 - 'Round The Corner
- Quest Progression Required To Access: The Son Of A Witch (and preceding main quests)
This Die is found in the Overworld after you reach the sandy plains on the other side of the ocean - after getting through the Karnok's Wall map.
16 - Sandy Shrine Piece Dungeon
- Quest Progression Required To Access: The Son Of A Witch (and preceding main quests)
Once you enter this part of the Overworld after getting through the Karnok's Wall map, this Lucky Die is up ahead on the right. You'll have to go through a dungeon to get up to it (one in which Tina lets you know there's a Shrine Piece).
17 - Oasis Dungeon Die
- Quest Progression Required To Access: The Son Of A Witch (and preceding main quests)
Just like the previous Die, follow the following steps:
- Get through Karnok's Wall to the other side of the Overworld.
- Go to this dungeon with a Shrine Piece in it and complete it.
- Get the Lucky Die!
18 - Chasing Waterfalls
- Quest Progression Required To Access: The Son Of A Witch (and preceding main quests)
This Lucky Die is resting near a waterfall near the Sunfang Oasis. To get there, just complete the Karnok's Wall map and exit into the Overworld on the other side! Melee the tree lying on the ground to get to it.
19 - Pop Can Party
- Quest Progression Required To Access: The Son Of A Witch (and preceding main quests)
Because of the camera angle on the Overworld, it's easy to miss this Die, but it's just sitting on top of the pop can next to the Ossu-Gol Necropolis. To get to this part of the Overworld, complete the 'The Son Of A Witch' main quest and the Karnok's Wall map.
20 - Oasis Gargoyle Gate
- Quest Progression Required To Access: All main story quests
There are three Lucky Dice in the Overworld which are hidden behind mysterious, magical red gates with gargoyles. To get through these gates, you need to complete a few key steps.
First, complete the story of Tiny Tina's Wonderlands.
Second, go to the Overworld right outside the Ossu-Gol Necropolis. There, you'll find a man named Saklas who gives you a side quest and a special power-up for your melee to get through these red barriers. You don't need to complete the side quest to get the upgrade. Once you have that, you're free to break down this barrier and grab the Lucky Die!
21 - Underwater Gargoyle Gate
- Quest Progression Required To Access: All main story quests
The second-last Lucky Die in the Overworld is behind a red gargoyle gate, and it's found in the depths of the ocean that you blew up for totally reasonable reasons. To get past the gate, you must have finished the story of the game. After that, you'll be able to get the power-up that allows you to punch your way through these gates. 22 - Grassy Gargoyle Gate
- Quest Progression Required To Access: All main story quests, Lens of the Deceiver
Though this Lucky Die is in a grassy area, you have to enter the ocean to get up to it. It's right next to several of the Bottlecap Shortcuts. To get to it, though, you need to be able to punch through the red magical gate. That only happens once you beat the game. We describe the process in-depth above, in the details for how to get the 20th Lucky Die. You'll also need to be able to see the Invisible Bridges to access this side path.
