Respawn Entertainment has told Titanfall fans hoping for a third game that there is "nothing in [the] works" because the developer is too busy with other projects. Community coordinator Jason Garza broke the news (first spotted by Dexerto) during a livestream on his personal YouTube channel, claiming that Respawn has "too many other games in the works.

When asked for comments on the future of Titanfall towards the end of his livestream, Garza was quick to shut down any rumors that Titanfall 3 might be in development, with Titanfall 3 having shown up in the recent GeForce Now leak which revealed a list of speculative future releases:

"Don’t get your hopes up, man. I’ve said this before. We don’t have anything in [the] works," explains Garza. "There’s nothing. There’s nothing there. We’ve got too many other games in the works right now."

While this news is disappointing for Titanfall fans, it's likely that Respawn does actually have its hands full at the moment. The recent hacks to Apex Legends has pushed back planned content such as cross-progression, and the team is also likely working on a sequel to Jedi: Fallen Order as well as their new single-player title set in a brand new universe.

In regards to the issues surrounding multiplayer in Titanfall 2, Garza does clarify in the comments section that Respawn is currently "working on the situation" but can't really comment any further on the situation publicly. Garza is likely referring to the constant issues surrounding Titanfall 2's security, although the game's most recent scandal was a hoax.

As for what we know Respawn has in the works, progress on Apex Legends' next-gen update is going smoothly. It was announced in a recent Reddit AMA by Respawn's director of communications Ryan K. Rigney that a next-gen update is being worked on, but that the team "can't say anything definitive at the moment." No release date was announced, although it would be surprising if it isn't rolled out at some point next year.
