Spider-Man and Uncharted actor Tom Holland has officially been announced as one of the presenters for The Game Awards 2020, which will take place next Thursday, December 10.

The news comes from The Game Awards creator Geoff Keighley, who recently took to Twitter in order to announce that Holland would be participating in next week's highly-anticipated event.

You can check out the tweet for yourself below.

We recently got our first proper look at Holland as a young Nathan Drake in the upcoming Uncharted movie. According to him, filming has gone "really well," despite how messy production on the movie has been over the last few years.

There's also a cheeky rumor that Holland could play Link in a Netflix adaptation of The Legend of Zelda. Admittedly, this is just going off idle hearsay, although we reckon Holland could easily look the part if he was kitted out in the iconic green tunic and given some blonde bangs. Whether or not a hypothetical Netflix adaptation would have Link actually speak isn't currently known, although it would be a bit of a waste to enlist someone as charismatic as Holland to just have him grunt once every couple of minutes.

In related news, Marvel's Spider-Man has sold over 20 million units worldwide as of a couple of weeks ago. Insomniac's recent follow-up to the blockbuster game, Spider-Man: Miles Morales, is also apparently so detailed that somebody found their apartment in its version of Manhattan.

The game also has a glitch that allows you to play as a trash can. This isn't quite as impressive from a development perspective, but it's definitely hilarious.

The Game Awards will air next Thursday, December 10. Apparently we might finally get some Elden Ring news.

If you're curious, you can check out all of the games nominated for Best Game at the link. We've had some writers say Hades is a shoo-in for Game of the Year, while others reckon Ghost of Tsushima is going to clinch the coveted title.
