We’re less than a month away from the release of Uncharted, a movie that’s ostensibly based on the video game series but still manages to give off some pretty strong National Treasure vibes.

That said, Uncharted is definitely going to surpass National Treasure in terms of stunts. We’ve already seen quite a few impressive aerial maneuvers from Nathan Drake actor Tom Holland, but easily the best one was when he fell out of an airplane. Twice.

Apparently, that stunt took five weeks to shoot, according to Holland in a brand new behind-the-scenes teaser. It was also one of the hardest stunts he’s ever done.

"I was shooting stunts that were far bigger than anything I've done before," Holland admitted. "At times I'd be like 100 feet in the air attached to a box that is spinning, and then I would basically hang on until it would throw me off."

We’re treated to some amusing looks at Holland hanging upside-down from a rope attached to a box in a blue-screen studio. Massive fans simulate the airflow of a plane flying at high altitude and wires keep Holland from crushing his skull when he's eventually thrown off.

Even with all the safety equipment, it was still a pretty intimidating stunt for Holland. "And it was really scary, but I think that level of fear just that scene that much more authentic."

The upcoming Uncharted film has an interesting origin story. Holland actually tried to convince Sony to work with the Bond estate for a young Bond film. That didn't fly for a variety of reasons, but the idea of a young Bond lined up nicely with Sony's plans to bring the Uncharted films to the silver screen.

Lucky for Holland, Sony had also provided him a PlayStation 4 on the set of the Spider-Man films so he could actually play through the Uncharted games. Now a fan, Holland stars as series protagonist Nathan Drake in the upcoming film.

Uncharted hits theaters on February 18.
