Tony Todd has posted a video on Instagram that shows off his unedited Venom voice, and it shows that he's perfect for the role.

When Spider-Man 2 was revealed during the PlayStation Showcase, one of the big reveals is that the game will feature Venom. We only get to hear a little from the character during the reveal trailer, but it was later announced that he is voiced by Tony Todd, most famous for being the original Candyman.

Although the reception to that announcement was already very positive from what we saw in the trailer, Tony Todd has recently posted an Instagram video showcasing his unedited Venom voice, and it's making fans even more excited for the full thing.

In the video, Todd says, "What's happening? I am... WE are Venom", complete with gargles and spits as he talks. Many assumed that the Venom voice we heard in the trailer was edited somewhat, but it looks like Todd can sound like a villain all on his own. Fans are also happy to hear a bit more from the character considering we only got a few words in the trailer.

Previous voice actors for Venom have usually had some kind of voice moderation added to make Venom sound more like an alien figure, but from this extra look at the process, it'll be interesting to see whether Insomniac even needs to adjust Todd's voice at all. Reception to the Instagram video has been incredibly positive, with Todd currently retweeting some of the reactions from fans on his Twitter.
