Only a few months after Grasshopper Manufacture founder Goichi Suda's inital announcement, a gameplay trailer has been released for the ports of Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes on the PS 4 and PC.

Grasshopper Manufacture was founded in 1998 in Suginami, Japan and didn't gain major attention around the world until its release of Killer 7. The game received mixed reviews, but ultimately became a cult classic of sorts within the video game community to the point that it spawned a comic book series. The company went on to create Lollipop Chainsaw, an instant hit that garnered the attention of famous cosplayers such as Jessica Nigri and sell over one million copies worldwide, making it the companies most successful title to date. While the company has continued to develop a wide range of games, its franchise No More Heroes has continued to spawn titles despite the fact that it has struggled mightily with sales. Its most recent installment, Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes, has fared slightly better due to changes in mechanics and now the company has released a trailer showcasing the PS 4 and PC port of the game.

Despite the continued failure of No More Heroes, Grasshopper Manufacture seems content with investing time and money into the franchise with the hopes that it will eventually take off. If the company has financial problems in the future due to this move, it will perhaps serve as a cautionary tale for other game developers who refuse to let go of a failing concept.

The gameplay trailer can be found on the official Youtube channel of Marvelous Games, the publisher for Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes. In it, we are greeted with a wonderfully done video sequence which showcases vibrant levels and tons of different enemies. Additionally, text overlay reveals a two-player co-op mode and seven unique levels that change the players perspective and their environment. Pre-orders for both the PC and the PS 4 will begin on October 17th, though the game's actual cost isn't known.

While the game hasn't received the kind of support that the company had wanted, this trailer does a good job of showing off what the game has to offer. With the start of preorders only a few months away, this new trailer could help to capture the interest of users on the PC and PS 4.

Given that the game has struggled with sales like its predecessors, this move seems to indicate that Grasshopper Manufacture is hoping that this latest announcement will drum up support for the game. It's not clear what the future of the franchise will be, but it doesn't appear that sales have a bearing on if it will continue beyond this point.
