A new Tron game has been announced during the Disney + Marvel Games Showcase called Tron: Identity, developed by John Wick Hex and Volume creator Mike Bithell. We don't have a specific release date, but the game launches at some poiint in 2023 and all you die-hard Tron fans out there can go and wishlist it on Steam right now.

According to the game's Steam page, Tron: Identity is a visual novel adventure that takes place in a new Grid forgotten by its creators and left to evolve on its own. A crime has taken place and it's your job to solve it, defragging the Identity Disc of people around you in order to reveal their memories. Your decisions will shape the outcome of the story, as the game will branch out into different endings depending on your choices.

As previously mentioned, Tron: Identity will be developed by Mike Bithell and his team, the creator of several indie titles such as John Wick Hex, Subsurface Circular, and Volume, as well as indie hit Thomas Was Alone. The team's previous titles are also set in sci-fi universes, making Bithell and his crew quite experienced in the genre.

Tron: Identity was announced during the Disney + Marvel showcase in which several other titles were also revealed. It was announced that Marvel and Niantic are teaming up to create a new mobile game called Marvel World of Heroes that will let players create their own unique Super Hero and origin story. We also got a look at a new Nintendo Switch-exclusive platformer called Disney's Illusion Island coming next year that stars Mickey Mouse and friends and channels shades of Rayman Origins.

However, undoubtedly the biggest announcement was the reveal of Amy Hennig's upcoming Marvel game. We didn't get a release date, but we know the game will be set in World War 2, take players to several locations across the world, will feature four playable characters and will star Captain America and Black Panther.
