With Shroud and Ninja now both on Mixer, everyone is wondering which big Twitch streamer is going to be the next to make the move – and it's not Guy "Dr DisRespect" Beahm, apparently. When badgered enough by chat about the subject, the Doc eventually addressed the rumors while broadcasting.

Nothing about his statements were indirect; Dr DisRespect looks to be in the Twitch camp for the long-haul. "I would never move to Mixer, trust me. Uhhh – it's stupid." He went on to emphasize Mixer's inferior viewer statistics, citing Twitch's approximate 1.5 million concurrent viewers to Mixer's 40-50,000. He went on to claim, "I have double the amount of viewers that Ninja has right now and I'm still in my intro!"

The Doc continued to go in on Mixer's "big moves" by calling attention to the fact that they seem to be trying to buy viewers, contrasting the dynamic to that of Twitch's naturally "built" community. Overall, he seemed to get pretty heated over the subject, but it's likely Guy was just playing Dr DisRespect's over-the-top character during the rant.

Nonetheless, he brought up very solid points. Shroud's migration is definitely raising eyebrows around the streaming world, but most viewers still remain loyal to Twitch. With numbers that, according to Doc, are 30 times the amount of Mixer's, it's clear that the company has its work cut out for them if they want to compete.

Even more revealing, however, was Dr DisRespect's heavy implication that he is being paid a hefty amount of money to stay on Twitch as well. In the moment during his stream, he went on to say, "Also, imagine getting paid more than these other guys to stay. Imagine that. Imagine if that were something, huh?" While unconfirmed, the Doc came as close to outright admitting to being paid as he could without explicitly stating it.

With the future of both platforms uncertain, one can only hope it doesn't amount to a simple bidding war for the biggest streamers. With any luck, the rivalry will create enough competition to entice these platforms to offer even better incentives for their creators. For now, Mixer is clearly making moves, but Dr DisRespect looks to be among those unconvinced to make the switch.
