Twitch Rivals got started yesterday, pitting European streamers against one another in custom Call of Duty: Warzone lobbies for a chance at grabbing a $75,000 prize pool. That's a lot of cash, and it's apparently enough to get one streamer to activate his aimbot even though his games were being livestreamed on Twitch.

Esports personality Jake Lucky posted the clip to Twitter of a partnered Twitch streamer named Davskar who was pretty blatantly cheating. You can see throughout the footage that Davskar maintains a perfect lock on each enemy's head even as they pass through solid objects where his view is blocked. Davskar then proceeds to take out an entire squad with a series of perfect headshots.

The way Davskar maintains perfect aim and snaps his gun up inhumanly fast are all hallmarks of an aimbot. Charlie Intel reports that this cheater was quickly banned from Twitch after the footage went public and was also removed from the Twitch Rivals tournament.

Cheating is still a huge problem in Warzone, and this guy isn’t even the only high-profile case this week. Another streamer got caught using a “soft aimbot,” a different sort of hack that causes bullets to bend towards enemies rather than correcting the player’s aim. This makes it a little harder to detect as there’s no telltale snap of the gun aimed perfectly at enemy heads. Instead, the hacker just sprays bullets in the target’s general direction for the kill.

Both hackers seem to have evaded RavenSoft's recent 50,000 banwave, but we don't expect them to last through the next one.

Twitch Rivals has been the source of even more controversy today after a streamer was barred from participating thanks to appearing on-stream in a Dr Disrespect cosplay. It was basically just a fake mustache, a wig, and sunglasses, but that was enough for an overzealous Twitch community employee to take him off the list of tournament invitees.

In response, other Twitch streamers are now cosplaying as Dr Disrespect in solidarity, leading Twitch to reverse its previous decision.
