A new video which seems to show popular Twitch streamer Trainwreckstv handing out large crypto payments to two Twitch employees has gone viral following the company's ongoing controversy over streaming of gambling sites. Trainswrecktv is one of several streamers to have started streaming gambling sites recently, prompting Twitch to crack down on it with a newly updated polict that will go live on October 18 next month. The video in question was shared by Ostonox on Twitter, an editor for Hasan Piker. It shows Trainswrecktv talking to his chat whilst streaming a gambling site, as he sends a combined $80,000 worth of cryptocurrency to Twitch staff accounts called Pepegafish, an apparent video platform developer, and Rellim, whose job title is unknown but claims to be a Twitch employee on their personal Twitter account.Related: Streamers Taking On Twitch's Gambling Meta Is Long Overdue, Hypocritical, And WorryingUnderstandably, this has raised concerns over Twitch's future policy plans and how much streamers actually have a say in what goes on behind closed doors. While its unknown as to how much sway Rellim and Pepegafish themselves actually have at Twitch, it is concerning that Trainwreckstv seems to be so blatantly casual about handing employees tens of thousands of dollars during a live stream.

Twitch has decided to ban unlicensed gambling sites from being streamed on its platform, but it wasn't without a whole lot of pushing from several of its biggest creators. For example, streamers such as Pokimane, Mizkif, and Devi Nash had planned to stop streaming for a week during the holiday season to force Twitch into action, assuming that hitting the company in its pockets would be the best course of action.

Thankfully, it seems to have worked, as starting from October 18 you should start seeing a lot less unlicensed gambling on Twitch. Hey, it's better than nothing.
