Popular Twitch streamers like Amouranth and Indiefoxx have been banned from the platform after a new form of ASMR involves loudly licking and even farting into a headset.

Both Amouranth and Indiefoxx have spent their last few streams taking part in extreme ASMR, which initially started as them licking their microphones suggestively. Amouranth can be seen in several clips wearing a horse mask and bashing her face into her headset. Indiefoxx then took this a step further by having a special donation tier where she would fart into the microphone, which can also be found all over Twitter if you have the stomach.

These streams were rapidly rising in popularity on Twitch and going viral, which also led to mass reporting of the pair, with many considering the content not safe for children and overly sexual, similarly to the hot tub incidents from earlier in the year, with Amouranth previously being involved in that development.

The increasingly suggestive content in these streams has led to the pair being indefinitely banned from Twitch. It's not clear how long the ban is for but the move is a pretty big one from Twitch as Amouranth and Indiefoxx are two of the most popular and well-known streamers on the site, with a combined total of over four million followers between them.

Both Amouranth and Indiefoxx have commented on their Twitch bans by making light of the whole situation. Amouranth made a Tweet saying "1 like = 1 second shorter ban", whilst Indiefoxx said, "Hey @Amouranth wanna go to a spa since we both have the weekend off? I could really use a tongue massage." With the pair seeming not to take it too seriously, it's going to be interesting to see the long term effects of the ban and new meta.

Although for many people this might just seem like another wild Twitch story, it's having a real impact on the actual ASMR streamers that do things like roleplaying or talking. Their category was essentially taken over by two huge streamers that have now put the whole thing under a microscope by Twitch. The hot tub situation even led to a ban of the word as a whole.
