Ever wanted to eat wings while watching a live-stream? Well, Wingstop is now offering the ability to order chicken wings online with its new Twitch Extension. It works like this: the Twitch Extension will include Wingstop's "Wing Calculator (TM)," which allows viewers to customize their order by number and type of wings.

There is also an element of streamer-audience interaction. The streamer can give recommendations to viewers through the Wing Calculator (TM) directly. Then, the viewer can proceed to the Wingstop website to submit their order and payment.

According to Wingsider, there are certain streams you can watch in the next few weeks on Twitch that will let you order from Wingstop using this new Extension. Here are a few upcoming ones:

  • JoshOG – Monday, Dec. 9 from 9 – 11 p.m. EST
  • LobosJR – Sunday, Dec. 15 from 4 – 6 p.m. EST
  • TheHaleyBaby – Monday, Dec. 16 from 7 – 9 p.m. EST

Some streamers were asked to test the new online ordering system this past summer, where viewers got to choose which flavor of wings the streamers ate. Now with the new Wingstop Twitch Extension (which launched in late November), viewers can order wings for themselves all while watching a streamer play video games.

With this ordering system is in place, it begs the question of what is next for streaming? Will other restaurants jump on board to this new concept? Will we be able to shop while streaming? The future of Twitch Extensions has so many possibilities and it seems as though Wingstop is just scratching the surface.

Some may question if the Wingstop Twitch Extension is completely necessary, though. After all, you can order it through your phone and how often are people separated from their phones? That being said, ordering the wings online through your phone does not give you the same streamer-audience interaction that the Wingstop Twitch Extension offers. You would be missing out on half of the fun by going with your pocket device.

If you want to check out this new wing-ordering process, you can watch the streamers listed above on Twitch during their specified times. Make sure to use the Twitch Extension Wing Calculator (TM).
