The Orb Club in Two Point Campus works very differently from all the other clubs in the game. While other clubs are focused on a benefit for your students - like helping them walk or learn faster - the Orb Club just benefits you. Every time a student signs up for the Orb Club or levels up, you'll make some money at the expense of their happiness.

The Orb Club is basically the Two Point Campus equivalent to a pyramid scheme, as you can hear propaganda on the radio for it, and students can be seen kneeling in front of some club items as if worshipping them. Even though the Orb Foundation claims that it's a "not-for-profit," the club is hugely lucrative, which is kind of the whole point of running a campus.

How To Unlock Orb Club

Two Point Campus Upper Etching

To unlock the Orb Club, you'll need to play the eighth level of the campaign, Upper Etching. You won't receive student tuition fees or rent on this campus, so your income will be severely limited. The Orb Club is practically required for the Upper Etching level unless you want to risk taking out loans.

After playing the level for a couple of in-game months, the Orb Foundation will reach out to you and allow you to set up an Orb Club. Once this happens, you'll be able to buy and place an Orb Club stand and an Orb Statue - the rest of the club items can be unlocked with Kudosh. The club stand will allow students to become Orb members, granting you $250 every time someone signs up. Having an assistant on the stand will boost member sign-ups, as will pressing the 'Prioritise Recruitment' option on the Orb Club Stand's menu.

The Benefits Of Orb Club

Two Point Campus Orb Stand

As previously mentioned, the Orb Club is all about making more money. There's the $250 that comes from a member signing up, but you'll receive more money every time a member levels up.

Members level up by using club items, which will then allow them to use better, more expensive equipment and level up further. Every time a member levels up, you'll receive $250 multiplied by their level. For example, when a member reaches level two, you'll receive $500, when they reach level three, you'll gain $750, and so on. The payout breakdown can be seen in the table below:

Level

Payout

Orbling 1

$250

Orbling 2

$500

Orbling 3

$750

Orbling 4

$1,000

Orbling 5

$1,250

Orbling 6

$1,500

Orbling 7

$1,750

Orbling 8

$2,000

Orbling 9

$2,250

Orbling 10

$2,500

This means that one student can generate up to $13,750 during their time in the Orb Club. Over the course of multiple years, hundreds of students can potentially sign up to be an Orbling, meaning the Orb Club can generate a few hundred thousand in cash.

Even though the Orb Club is good for your happiness - since it's guaranteed to make you rich - its effects on students are less great. Students that sign up to be club members will experience diminished happiness once they're Orblings. Their happiness affects things like their academic performance and how likely they are to drop out.

You should offset the negative effects of the Orb Club with other activities around the campus. Hold events at your Student Union and Lecture Theatres, place relationship items around the campus, and provide students with the facilities they need to boost students' moods.

Club Items

The Orb Club Stand and Orb Statue are unlocked automatically, but you'll need to unlock the other two items with Kudosh.

Orb Statue

The Orb Statue costs $1,000 to buy, increases campus attractiveness, and takes up very little space. The statue will help club members go from level one to level three, generating over $1,000 for each member.

At this point, club members will be able to interact with the other club items for even more experience and money. Place Orb Statues next to the club stand so newly appointed Orblings can begin leveling up.

Orb Monument

The Orb Monument costs $5,000, increases attractiveness, and can only be placed outside. The monument helps club members go from level four to level six, making it even more profitable than the Orb Statue.

You can unlock the monument with 25 Kudosh.

Orb Fountain

Two Point Campus Orb Fountain

The Orb Fountain costs 50 Kudosh to unlock and $10,000 to buy and place on your campus. It's larger than both of the previous items, naturally meaning you can only place it outside, which is a good thing since it also increases campus attractiveness.

The Orb Fountain will take club members from level seven to level ten, making it essential if you want to maximise your profits from the Orb Club. Students can be seen kneeling in front of the fountain, so you might need to ignore some ethical red flags.
