Two Point Campus steadily introduces new components and facilities through its runtime, giving players ample time to grow accustomed to how everything works. As you progress, you’ll unlock new campuses and courses to run on these lands, and all the while, you’ll be carving out your style of play. That said, there are a few hidden details, furnishings, and quality of life improvements you may be unaware of in the game.

If you want to learn more about this beautiful title and its missable goodies, we’ve mapped out some of the best we could find. And yes, it includes the glorious golden toilet.

10 Altering Item Appearance

The button to alter item colors is right there, yet it's so simple to miss. The main reason is that while the button is there, and you’re welcome to press it at any given moment, you also don’t want to accidentally mess something up by pressing something you don’t understand.

To get to this elusive button, you need to select an item, bearing in mind not all are editable, and press the paintbrush icon — this will open up the available decoration options. Unfortunately, not every item has this option, so you’ll have to keep a mental note of the ones that do.

9 You Can Turn Off Salary Increase

The salary increase is a pesky tool because it’s hidden away in the technical portion of the game, underneath the campus overview category. At face value, it doesn’t seem too necessary. But, as it turns out, it’s one of the most important things you need to change at the beginning of any playthrough. Salary review timing is automatically set for the year-end, meaning that at the end of every course year, your staff will have an automatic salary increase.

Remove this by selecting never or changing it to after training if you prefer to make the experience a little more complicated. Then jump back into keeping your campus afloat.

8 The Frog Rain From Two Point Hospital

Frog rain appeared in the Pebberley Island DLC of Two Point Hospital as an all-new disaster event that would leave frogs stranded on the ground, needing to be picked up by janitors. In Two Point Campus, the infamous frog rain makes its return.

This event serves the same purpose in both games, with janitors needing to clean up the campus and dispose of these frogs... somewhere. We’re not sure where they put them, but the good news is they’re now off campus grounds!

7 Keeping Students Happy Is The Most Important Thing

Improving academic equipment and maxing out your library means nothing if students aren’t having a good time on campus. You can have all the learning tools in the world, but it will never be as valuable as, first and foremost, ensuring your students are keeping themselves entertained. Student unions and student lounges are the finest ways to accomplish these, but refreshments and arcade machines dotted around school grounds work just as well.

Scheduling bimonthly events will increase your students' walking speed and overall happiness, encouraging them to get out there and succeed at their given courses.

6 Pooping In Style

Two Point Campus installing golden toilets.

Real-world toilets may be dull and stale, but that doesn’t mean in-game ones have to follow the same ideal. If you want to spruce up the bathroom areas on campus, you’ll have to create a Two Point community account and then log into this account from the Two Point Campus menu screen.

Complete those two simple steps, and you’re welcome to place as many Royal Flush toilets (so long as you have the necessary funds) on site. These new toilets are golden and look much cleaner than the standard porcelain version.

5 Large Windows Are The Key To Success

Two Point Campus placing large windows to increase room proficiency.

In Two Point Hospital, it was all about placing as many sunflowers as your hospice could hold to improve the attractiveness of the building. In Two Point Campus, it’s also about the plants but mainly about placing large windows everywhere you can. For every new room you create, pick out a wall and place these windows across the entirety of the space; you’ll be up a few levels in no time.

Not only does this benefit the level of a room, but it also makes it look a lot nicer and brighter than usual.

4 Reduce Student Intake To Increase Learning Proficiency

Two Point Campus reducing the intake of students to increasing the learning rate.

Beginning the game on Freshleigh Meadows, you’ll have no issue getting straight A’s, but later campuses are a different story. There’s also the issue of improving your courses to the next level, automatically increasing the student intake. A quick fix to this is to enter the edit course section and press the minus arrow next to student intake until it's at a more manageable number.

A decrease in students will also decrease your money from tuition fees, but it also reduces the stress of an overload of students to look after.

3 Hiring Low-Level Teachers Is Better

Now, if you have the funds and amenities to hire better teachers from the offset, feel free to do so, but if you want to save on cash and earn additional experience, there’s a helpful method. First, hire any teacher you wish to so long as they’re at the lowest course level. Then, build a training room, and train them to the desired level.

You’ll have to keep in mind you’ll still need a teacher for course classes, and you can only train to a specific level until you’ve upgraded the course, but they’re just a few kinks in the machine.

2 Catching Idle Students Doing Strange Things

Students spend much of their time wandering around doing all kinds of things, and keeping track of them all is challenging. If you’re stuck on ideas of what to do while something is being built, or you’re waiting for a class to end, why not follow around an idle student and see what they’re doing?

You can catch a multitude of things, but one of the best is seeing them interact with other students and getting entertainment out of the furniture placed around them. Check up on one of your students to see if you can catch them messing around with the clown trunk.

1 Students Improving Over The Course

Two Point Campus students burning food in Gastronomy class.

On a base level, this entry probably makes the most sense, but something that you might overlook is the progression details. If you sit through the first class of Gastronomy, for example, you might notice the students burning their gigantic pizzas. However, when you check up on the final lesson in the year, and so long as your students are flourishing, you can see an immediate improvement.

Gone is the ash-burnt pizza, and here stands the perfectly even, cheesy goodness from the land of dreams.
