Players often struggle when they reach Smogley Hospital during World 3 in Two Point Hospital as they are tasked with increasing their cure rate. You will need a cure rate of 90% if you want to earn three stars, and some see this as an impossible objective. It takes time and dedication to reach this point, but there are a few tips and tricks that can help.

You can view your current cure rate trend by going to the Patient tab under Overview, where it will show you whether or not this stat is improving. Happy and healthy patients equal a profitable business which is why it should be your goal to cure as many patients as you can in Two Point Hospital.

Build More Diagnosis And Treatment Rooms

First, you should look to see if you have the right diagnosis and treatment rooms for the illnesses that you have coming through your door. Your primary focus should be on the patient's diagnosis as the better the diagnosis method, the more successful their treatment will be, which is why these rooms should be built first.

Next, you should add treatment rooms where patients have the best chance of being cured, and Pharmacy is one room with several highly curable diseases.

Train Your Staff

Two Point Hospital Staff Assignments

Your staff pretty much determines if a patient lives or dies, and their skills correlate to this outcome. It is best to train them in Treatment if they are working in the treatment rooms, and Diagnostics if they are better suited for one of the diagnosis rooms.

You can upgrade both of these skills to level five, although only do this if there is no chance at specialization for a certain condition, such as Ward Management or Psychiatry.

Once your staff is trained in either Treatment or Diagnostics, then you should restrict them to specific rooms. It will do you no good to have your doctor who has several levels of training in Treatment to be assigned to a room only used for diagnosis.

Upgrade Machines

Upgrade machines in Two Point Hospital

Many treatment rooms require the use of a specific machine in order to treat an illness, and most of these can be upgraded. They can usually be enhanced by a janitor up to two times, and it will cost either $10,000 or $20,000 depending upon the upgrade you are having them perform.

Some of these upgrades will be unlocked automatically, while others must be researched before you can use them in your hospital. One method is to go back to your first few hospitals that are well established and use them to research the machines.

They will allow you to raise your treatment power by 25% or 50%, which in turn will help you to drastically increase your cure rate.

Have A Hospital Layout That Allows For Adequate Patient Flow

One thing that many players fail to take into account, and this is especially true of beginners, is the layout of their hospital and how their patients flow through it. You want to group your diagnosis rooms, cafes, and toilets in one area to prevent your patients from wasting their time walking from one end of the building to the other.

This will allow your patients to keep their health high and prevent deaths due to wasted time.

Launch Marketing Campaigns For Highly Curable Illnesses

Some illnesses are more curable than others and your attention should be focused on them. They can range from 0% to 80% difficulty, and it is recommended you treat those that are as close to 0% as possible.

A few of these illnesses include:

  • Lightheadedness (20%)
  • Boggled Mind (20%)
  • Grout (0%)
  • Clamp (10%)
  • Bed Face (20%)

You should aim to launch marketing campaigns for the treatment rooms which cure these illnesses, which is why a focus on Pharmacy is a safe bet. When you create a campaign your hospital will start to see more of these patients with easy cases, and in return, you will be rewarded with a rising cure rate.

Send Patients Home

Send a patient home in Two Point Hospital

Don't be afraid to send patients home, especially when your cure rate is on the line. If they have low health or if their percentage for a successful chance at treatment is low then they should be sent on their way. There are even some mods that can do this for you so you don't have to waste your time micromanaging the patients.

Some players even set up one treatment room and focus on only treating a few very curable illnesses, while sending the rest of the patients home in order to achieve their goals.

Adjust The Diagnosis Threshold For Treatment Bar

The Diagnosis Threshold for Treatment bar can be found under the Policy tab within Overview. You can adjust it to 100% which ensures that your staff is entirely certain what a patient is suffering from before they send them off to treatment.

It will prevent your employees from guessing at a cure and killing patients by throwing a treatment at them that is destined to fail.

Add Specific Items

Certain items that you can add to rooms or corridors in your hospital can help you raise your diagnosis and treatment power. Players often choose to line their rooms with these items and add as many as they can to boost their chances of success, many of which can be unlocked with Kudosh.

A few of the items that can be used to raise your treatment power include:

  • Medicine Cabinet
  • Wall Monitor
  • Weighing Machine
  • Treatment Bookcase
  • Deep Thing 2

Adjust Your Prices

Prices at Two Point Hospital

One aspect of successfully completing treatment is that patients must pay for the service in order for it to count positively toward the cure rate. Unfortunately, when your prices are raised, like when you think you might be going bankrupt, patients will often refuse to pay for their care which can be damaging to the cure rate.

Some players choose to adopt the practice of raising prices for less curable diseases to prevent these patients from coming to the hospital. However, this can backfire as sometimes these patients still show up anyway.
