Ubisoft employees who issued an open letter of support towards Activision Blizzard staff regarding an alleged toxic workplace culture have now responded to Yves Guillemot's internal email regarding the state of changes at Ubisoft, saying, "Do better or keep losing good people".

Previously, Ubisoft employees put out an open letter in solidarity with Activision Blizzard employees. In their open letter, they said, "It has been over a year since the first revelations of systemic discrimination, harassment, and bullying within Ubisoft came out ... However, we have seen nothing more than a year of kind words, empty promises, and an inability or unwillingness to remove known offenders. We no longer trust your commitment to address these issues at their core. You need to do more."

Guillemot's response acknowledged employees who weren't confident in the changes coming to the company, as well as promising more updates later in the year and asking everyone to wait until Q3 2021 for more information. Ubisoft employees have now responded to Yves' statement in turn, saying "it wasn't good enough".

When asked for comment regarding the open letter and Guillemot's response to it, Ubisoft employees sent the following reply to TheGamer: "Yves' response has already begun receiving some harsh criticism from employees on our internal networks, highlighting that the letter clearly stated we knew what they were doing already, and we'd already said it wasn't good enough.

"Even though change has been happening and there seems to be a major restructuring happening internally, it's hypocritical of Management to say that they're working on it while still harbouring, protecting, permitting, and shuffling around known toxic and abusive people to other positions of power. Morale and trust are low. It's exhausting, frustrating, and it's counter [to] the messaging they give us. We cannot be happy or satisfied with this hypocrisy. For the one person who signed, there are countless others who simply were too terrified. Do better or keep losing good people."
