The latest game in the Just Dance franchise is coming to several different consoles, including the Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo Wii U, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.

Nintendo may be pouring all of its attention into the Switch, but that doesn’t mean that their older systems aren’t receiving new games, as the Wii U still receives the occasional new title on the eShop and the 3DS still has some upcoming games in the pipeline.

The Nintendo Wii may be reaching its twelfth birthday, but that doesn’t mean that publishers aren’t interested in releasing new games for the system.

Just Dance 2019 is the latest game in the series of rhythm games, which involves the player dancing to a mixture of contemporary and classic pop music, including the likes of “Havana”, “I’m Still Standing”, and “Rhythm of the Night”

The triple-A developers will abandon each console over time, but there is still a home for licensed movie games and sports titles on older systems. If there is a new Disney movie out, then you can guarantee that there will be plenty of cheap licensed games on every available system. The same is also true for new iterations of major sports series (like the Pro Evolution Soccer games) or when an international sporting event, like the Olympics, takes place and needs a quickly assembled game to cash in on the hype.

The PlayStation 2 was a major recipient of this kind of attention, as it is still the biggest selling video game console of all time and it was receiving new games all the way until 2014.

The Nintendo Wii is the fifth best-selling console of all time, and many people still keep one in their homes, thanks to games like Wii Sports becoming a global phenomenon, as it managed to attract a huge audience among people who don’t normally buy video games.

Nintendo may have left its older consoles behind (like the dearly departed Wii U) to focus on the rising success of the Switch, but there is still some love to be found for systems like the Wii when it comes to games with a mass-market appeal that don’t require powerful hardware in order to run.

Just Dance 2019 is available now for just about every console from the past decade.
