Ubisoft has confirmed that Watch Dogs: Legion's most recent update is its last, officially ending support for the game outside of some online events.

Watch Dogs Legion has had a pretty rocky lifetime, receiving middling reviews from critics and negative reception from fans who wanted a more character-driven game. Despite its most recent DLC introducing Wrench and Aiden in a brand new storyline and reigniting some love from the community, it looks that's the last we're going to see of Watch Dogs for some time. Sorry to those holding out hope for Marcus' return.

Ubisoft confirmed the news in the latest blog post on the Watch Dogs: Legion website. It begins by looking back on all of the content that has been released since the game's launch, before confirming that no more new content or updates are coming to Watch Dogs Legion, marking update 5.6 as the last.

The blog reads, "Throughout it all, you've shown us your DedSec teams, favourite recruits, best game moments, fan art, cosplay, videos, and more, and we've loved seeing your content and passion. TU 5.6 was our final update for Watch Dogs: Legion. However, you can look forward to reward tracks in the Online Mode, containing both new and returning rewards.

After outlining some of the online content and events that will continue to function in Legion for the coming months, the message ends with, "The game has grown by leaps and bounds, with a ton of content to explore, from a sprawling near future city to an action-packed Online Mode. We couldn't be prouder of the game we've created, and we appreciate all of you who've joined us on this journey in London over the year. We look forward to seeing more of your adventures in Legion! Until next time, DedSec."

Despite the game's initially rocky reception, fans have taken to Twitter to celebrate Legion and say goodbye to the game, posting support underneath the Watch Dogs Twitter account's post.
