The Ultimate Gamer virtual e-camp provides video games and physical activities for kids. It's run by industry professionals and provides an all-round experience encompassing physical activity, mindfulness, business insight, and of course, video games.

Video games play a big part in improving cognitive ability, so the overall goal of the camp is to increase "brain flexibility." To achieve this, they offer a variety of scheduled activities that are meant to educate and entertain the children. The physical training makes their bodies healthier, and the mindfulness helps them manage stress. To cap it off, the kids are also taught about life skills and the business part of the gaming world.

Tommy Knapp is the Ultimate Gamer's Director of Education and the person running the camp. He comes from a traditional sports background with many years of coaching and mentoring experience in the NFL, MLB, and NHL. According to him,"it is important to have structure for kids, especially this summer. This year has been one of the most challenging years due to the pandemic. With the Ultimate Gamer Summer Camp, we are blending the fun and enjoyment of gaming with high energy physical fitness activities, real guidance and instruction, and a simple system of accountability." He goes on to say, "We are also creating cohesive programming that is a combination of STEM work, cognitive skills such as critical thinking and problem solving, data, analytics, reading, and creativity.”

Many of the instructors have performed at the highest level of competition and know what it takes to be the best. The head of physical and mental preparation is Marcelo Vieira, former Real Madrid Captain, and the head of performance is Fabian Broich. Other coaches and instructors include indoor football player, Caio Alves, Dreamhack champion Victor "Ferra" Francal, and OXG Esports C0-founder William Collis. Wise Mind Project Founder Michele Verdi-Knapp and chef Heidi Marsh will are also be lending their expertise. Pooled together, the team of mentors have years of experience in their respective fields and a wealth of knowledge to share.

Throughout the camp, the kids get a taste of the professional esports environment and can better understand what it takes to be a pro. Hopefully, students will learn that talent alone can only get them so far and that they need to have a well-rounded, balanced lifestyle to reach their true potential.

This camp is a fantastic opportunity for kids to have fun and be productive in a warm and friendly environment. It will run on Zoom from August 3 to August 7 and costs $289.
