This has been said many times already, but every E3 invites many rumors and supposed "leaks" from across the internet. Just yesterday a "leaked" picture showing upcoming Switch titles appeared on 4chan. The latest unconfirmed leak has been shared on Reddit, and other places. The "leak" features a document that outlines Sony's E3 conference for PlayStation. Below is the picture, as shared by Game Hoard on Facebook.

This is interesting because some of these titles have already been confirmed by Sony. In May, Sony outlined its PlayStation presentation in a blog post. It confirmed four titles: Spider-Man, The Last of Us Part II, The Ghost of Tsushima, and Death Stranding. However, Sony also said: "Of course, we’ll have stellar announcements from third-party publishers and independent developers," This means that there will also be announcements outside the four games confirmed. (Ubisoft confirmed that Beyond Good and Evil 2 would be at E3.) Thus, those announcements could very well be in the above picture.

Do the games in the picture make sense? Upon analyzing, some of what's in it looks legitimate. Kingdom Hearts III is scheduled to release this year, and Polygon mentioned that Game Director Tetsuya Nomura expects to reveal the release date in June. That would line up with an E3 announcement. Continuing on the Square Enix side of things, the Final Fantasy VII remake has been hotly anticipated. Interestingly, the game was absent from Sony's 2017 E3 conference. It would be shocking if the game didn't appear in some form for this year's E3. Meanwhile, the Spyro Reignited Trilogy is coming out in September, so it having an E3 presence is expected.

Unfortunately, a few things have to be mentioned that hurt the legitimacy of the document. One aspect is something you probably noticed: The Ghost of Tsushima is missing, despite Sony itself confirming that the game will have an E3 presence. The second is the wording of "launch trailer." In Final Fantasy's case, how could it be a "launch" trailer, unless Sony surprises everyone that the game is coming out after E3? Launch trailers are used for games that are launching very soon. That probably does not apply to Final Fantasy VII, or even Kingdom Hearts III. Also, the PlayStation page for Days Gone lists the game as releasing in 2019. How then can a "launch" trailer for Days Gone be shown at E3, as the document claims?

Finally, the actual document is something anyone can make. Paste the PlayStation logo at the top, use a bold font, paste the E3 logo at the bottom, and voila. The list could be accurate, but like always with this type of thing - don't get your hopes up. We might hear news on a new Splinter Cell or remake for Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, but this "leak" is far from a confirmation. We'll know for sure what Sony has in store in a little under two weeks.
