Because Ungora is a high-level boss, we recommend bringing strong weapons and armor. If you are playing on a server with others, it's a great idea to team up and take Ungora on together. Now, let's look at where you can find Ungora the Spider Queen in Vadoran.

Updated June 28, 2023 by Jacqueline Zalace: V Rising received quite a hefty update recently, changing many aspects of the game. We've updated this guide with current information, allowing you to find and kill Ungora the Spider Queen as quickly as possible.

Ungora The Spider Queen Location

v rising ungora the spider queen location marked on map

You can find Ungora deep within the Cursed Forest. In the image above, you can see the location highlighted on the map. This location is fairly straightforward to get to, but you can also track Ungora with the Blood Altar, allowing you to find her more accurately. Slightly south of this location near the top of Dunley Farmlands, you can also find a Waygate for fast travel.

This area will be filled with spiders, in addition to the queen herself. Prior to fighting Ungora, we recommend killing off the smaller spiders in the area. If you don't, they may become overwhelming during the battle.

Thankfully, this cave has a roof, which means you won't risk burning in the sun while fighting Ungora the Spider Queen.

What To Bring To Battle

V Rising Vampire Drinking V Blood

Ungora the Spider Queen is level 60, so you will want to have a total gear level of 60 or higher. If you have a lower gear score, you may struggle during the fight.

Additionally, it's important to bring some potions and healing items along. You can make these from farmed materials, as well as purchase them from vendors found in the world.

Below, you can check out some potions to have on hand.

  • Vermin Salve
  • Blood Rose Brew
  • Blood Rose Potion

Lastly, try to have a strong blood type. If you favor long-ranged spells, we suggest a strong Scholar blood. If, on the other hand, you prefer melee combat, try to find a strong Warrior or Brute blood type.

Kill Spider Summons

One of Ungora's main mechanics is to summon additional spiders to aid her. These tiny spiders aren't too dangerous alone, but they can easily gang up on you. Additionally, some of the spiders may explode.

You will want to take care of these summoned spiders as quickly as possible, so you can return all of your attention to Ungora.

Using Ranged Attacks

Ungora has some strong melee attacks, as well as attacks that deal damage in an AoE around her.

To deal with this, we recommend using ranged attacks which allow you to keep at a safe distance. You can either use a ranged weapon like the crossbow or stick to ranged spells. Since the area doesn't have any sunlight, you can keep your distance and take as much time as you want.

Watch Out For Poison

Ungora has the ability to poison you, which can be quite annoying, especially if you don't have much health to begin with.

There are currently no poison resistance potions in the game that you can take, so this is why it's important to bring along healing items.

Avoid Magic Circles

Magic circles will appear on the ground while you fight Ungora; these are green areas that deal poison damage. You should avoid these circles at all costs, but if you do accidentally go through one, be sure to use a healing item.

If you get too overwhelmed in the fight, you can always run away for a bit. Don't stray too far though; if you do, Ungora may reset and regain her health.

Best Spells To Use

V Rising All Chaos Vampire Abilities

The spells you use depend on your play style, but due to Ungora's poisoning and spider summons, we suggest having at least one defensive spell, such as Phantom Aegis.

Of course, if you are looking to defeat her quickly with hard-hitting attacks, try the following options.

  • Sanguine Coil
  • Chaos Barrage
  • Chaos Volley
  • Crimson Beam

Ungora The Spider Queen Rewards

Once you defeat Ungora the Spider Queen, you can extract her V Blood and receive the following rewards.

  • Volatile Arachnid Power
  • Ability To Craft:
    • Ghost Yarn
    • Silk
    • Spiderling (this is a creature from the Vermin's Nest)

Volatile Arachnid

Volatile Arachnid is an ultimate skill in the Unholy section of your ability chart.

When used, this ability will cause you to summon spiderlings that explode and deal 130 percent magic damage. Additionally, this will create a toxic AoE that deals 40 percent damage and inflicts a fading snare. On top of all this, you can recast this ability up to four times.

This is a great ability to use if you are dealing with large groups of enemies, but it may not always be helpful, as some enemies can avoid the summoned spiderlings.
