Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 has officially been delayed from its March 2020 release date to a later point in the year. The reason for this is to ensure that the quality of the game is up to the proper standards and to avoid the mistakes of the rushed release of the original Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines was released in 2004 and it was criticized due to the numerous bugs and glitches that plagued the game at launch. It's practically mandatory to use fan-made patches with the game, as official support was pulled when Troika Games when out of business in 2005.

The fact that Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 is being pushed back is sad to hear, but the famous Shigeru Miyamoto quote about delayed games potentially being great, but bad games being bad forever has come into play once more. If Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 needs more time to be a fantastic game at launch, then the developers should take it.

A delay for Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 also means that it's avoiding a killer month, as March 2020 is seeing the release of games like Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Doom Eternal, Final Fantasy VII Remakeand Watch Dogs: LegionThe original Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines was crushed at the marketplace due to how it was released alongside Half-Life 2 (possibly the most highly-anticipated PC game of all time at that point), so a delayed-release might be the best overall outcome for the game.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 will be available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in 2020.
