It may be an older game, but Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines is an excellent horror RPG experience for those who enjoy vampires and darker storylines. Players are thrust into the seedy underbelly of a world teeming with vampires of various factions and the humans they prey on.

If you find yourself struggling with the game or just want to add chaos to the experience here are some of the best cheats you can use. Some are small tweaks to make the early game easier until your character is stronger, others give you an unfair advantage against your opponents, and some are meant to break the game.

10 Max .38 Revolver Ammo

In the tutorial you are given a .38 revolver to learn how to shoot and get a feel for the game’s battle mechanics. It’s your first weapon and one you’ll need for some of the early fights. If you find yourself struggling to get a hang of combat and find yourself wasting ammo, or if you intentionally wasted ammo on the bottles at the end of the hall, then this cheat is for you.

Simply speak to Jack over and over again. Each time the weapon is unequipped, and you’re forced to reequip it, but your ammo will remain and you’ll get new ammo each time. Soon you’ll find your ammo reserves are maxed out and you’ll be ready to go to town on both the bottles and your enemies.

9 Infinite Armor Upgrade

This cheat will give your second set of armor a major boost going forward. Once you acquire the second set go to your apartment and deposit the armor while it’s still being worn into the box. Close the box and when you reopen it you’ll find that your armor has some improved stats.

This can be done over and over again until this set of armor is far stronger than anything you’ll encounter in the game. It’s a great cheat if you find yourself dying a lot and need some extra protection, keep in mind your Dexterity takes a hit when you do this.

8 Regenerate Humanity

Your humanity is an important stat to maintain and keep track of as the lower it gets the more feral a vampire becomes until they become a Wight and lose all control. It can become a pain to do what’s necessary as a vampire while also retaining your humanity, which makes this cheat a handy one.

If you find your humanity suffering or just need a boost in anticipation of some devious acts go to the Asylum at Santa Monica. There you can dance with the other creatures of the night and after a few minutes of dancing you'll generate a point of humanity. Repeat as often as you need.

7 Infinite Stats

When selecting your vampire type you’re given stat points to allocate for your character. Normally you’d make your selection and progress into the game, but there’s a cheat that allows you to reallocate those points while keeping the ones you used.

To do this, distribute the points wherever you want then go back to where you choose your vampire type, select the exact same type you chose before and you’ll find that when you go back to the stat page you’ll have the previously selected stats with new points to allocate.

6 Sheriff’s Sword

When you face off against he Sheriff you may be envious of the large sword he wields and wonder what it would be like to carve up your enemies with it. After opening the console use the code “give item_w_sheriff_sword” to dump this weapon into your inventory.

There’s no other way to acquire it and honestly it’s not the best sword in the game, but assuming you're strong enough to wield it effectively it can be a great sword in the beginning. It’s also nice if you ever feel like roleplaying as the Sheriff now and then.

5 NoClip

No clipping is a nice cheat to have when you want to quickly progress through a level, access a blocked off section, or even find secret areas not meant to be explored without cheats. By typing “noclip” into the console you’ll have the ability to walk through walls and go wherever you like.

A recommended area to use this cheat at is any one of your havens. Using no clip you can enter a room off the main section that’s the location of the News Anchor on TV. Interestingly there is usually a chunk of cash you can find in these secret rooms.

4 Enemies Don’t See You

This cheat is nice if you’re getting overwhelmed in combat or would like to explore an area without having to fight everyone you come across. In the console type “notarget” and every enemy in the game will suddenly be unable to target you.

You probably don’t want to keep this on forever as combat is a large part of what makes the game fun, but it can be nice to take a breather and explore without having to watch your back or go into an area ready for a fight to the death.

3 God Mode

The omnipotent cheat present in practically every game that gives you a life bar, God Mode will make it so that nothing is able to cause you damage. This is great if you find yourself struggling in combat or want to see what if feels like to be an immortal and invincible creature of the night.

To use this cheat open the console and type in “god”, afterward you’ll be shrugging off bullets, deflecting swords with your body, and laugh as the puny vampires claw at your body in vain.

2 All Weapons & Ammo

At times you want to run around and have fun without having to grind for cash or supplies first. With this cheat you’ll be able to instantly have access to all weapons and ammo in the game. Just open the console and type “impulse 101” and your inventory will be filled with weapons, ammo, and clothing.

Now you’re free to burn through your ammo and carve up your enemies without any prep work or hoarding necessary.

1 Any Power

Choosing what type of vampire you want to be comes with a lot of pros and cons, sometimes a vampire type will have an appealing upside, but a considerable downside that makes you avoid playing as them. Say you want the Insight and +2 boost to Inspection a Malkavian has, but you don’t want to have an insane personality type.

With this cheat you can be any type of vampire and have any vampiric power you want. Simply open the console and type “vstats get” then a list will appear with the various powers, select the power you want and hit enter and voila you’re a Nosferatu with Thaumaturgy.
