The mysterious third Vampire: The Masquerade game by BigBen Interactive was finally revealed at PDXCON 2019, when Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong was announced for a 2021 release.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong is an upcoming RPG that is based on the fifth edition of the Vampire: The Masquerade tabletop game. Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong is being developed by Big Bad Wolf, which is the studio that created the highly-acclaimed The Council.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong puts the player in control of three different vampires within the Camarilla, which is the secret society run by the oldest and most powerful of their kind. The Camarilla's main focus is keeping the existence of vampires a secret under the sacred law of the Masquerade, so long as it's under their terms. Thomas Veauclin is the Creative & Art Director at Big Bad Wolf, and has spoken to both his love for Vampire: The Masquerade and how its setting is a perfect fit for the type of game that the studio excels at.

"At the studio, we're long-time and passionate fans of the tabletop role-playing game Vampire: The Masquerade. We have wanted to create a video game inspired by this universe for several years now. This project fits perfectly with Bigben’s desire to expand its catalogue of narrative games. We are very happy to be unveiling it together."

Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong will use the rules from the recent 5th edition of the Vampire: The Masquerade tabletop game and will transplant them into a narrative RPG experience. The details of the story of Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong are yet to be revealed, but the world of Vampire: The Masquerade has a lot to offer for a story-based RPG. The only places that have been covered in Vampire: The Masquerade video games so far are Los Angeles, New York, and Chicago, which means that there is an entire world full of secrets that have yet to be seen within the setting.

The Council was a game that infused RPG elements into the point-and-click adventure genre, as the player would become more skilled by succeeding in their particular field of interest, such as diplomacy. This style of game is a perfect fit for Vampire: The Masquerade and it will be exciting to see what Big Bad Wolf will accomplish with Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong in two-years time.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong will be released in 2021.
