On May 8, the Vancouver Titans signed a new roster from Overwatch Contenders. The new roster consists primarily of players from the Contenders team, Second Wind, who have demonstrated nominal talent in both Overwatch Contenders and the Overwatch World Cup.

Tanks

In the tank role, Vancouver Titans now have Abtin "ShRedLock" Shirvani and Alhumaidi "KSAA" Alruwaili.  ShRedLock has been playing main tank for Second Wind since June of 2019. His signature heroes are Orisa, Hammond, Winston, and Reinhardt.

Meanwhile, KSAA will play off-tank. He has played for Saudi Arabia in the 2019 Overwatch World Cup and the Raspberry Racers in the European division of Overwatch Contenders. His signature heroes are D.Va, Zarya, Roadhog, and Sigma.

Support

Randal "Roolf" Stark and Carson "CarCar" First will be playing support for the Vancouver Titans. Roolf is a flex-support who played for the Los Angeles Gladiators' academy team and helped represent Canada in the 2016 and 2017 Overwatch World Cup competitions. His signature heroes are Zenyatta and Ana.

Meanwhile, CarCar will be playing the role of main-support. He most recently played for the Atlanta Reign Contenders' team, which is now on an indefinite hiatus from Overwatch Contenders. His signature heroes are Lucio, Mercy, and Brigitte.

DPS

Samir "Tsuna" Ikram and Dalton "Dalton" Bennyhoff are the Vancouver Titans' new DPS players. Both players specialize in Tracer and Widowmaker, however Tsuna flexes into the tank role with Zarya. Tsuna previously played for the Paris Eternal's academy team before the players were released last month.

While a the majority of Second Wind's members were signed onto the Vancouver Titans' roster, three others may yet join. As of now, Benjamin "UltraViolet" David, Zachary "iced" Hughs, and Nicholas "Speedily" Zou are under the age of 18 and thus cannot legally play in the Overwatch League. Once they turn 18, they may be signed onto the Vancouver Titans as well.

Meanwhile, a noteworthy absentee from the new Vancouver Titans is Colin "Higan" Arai. He was one of the founding members of the infamous GOATS roster when he went by the handle, "Coluge." While was intended to join the Titans with his teammates, his contract was denied due to his history of toxic behavior. Blizzard had appealed his ban from playing Overwatch professionally, however, so there's a chance his eligibility for the Titans may be reconsidered.

The newly assembled Vancouver Titans played their first games on May 9 and 10, losing 3-1 against Washington Justice and 3-0 against Florida Mayhem. They're set to play against the Houston Outlaws and Philadelphia Fusion on May 16 and 17, by which time they will hopefully have settled into their new team dynamic.
