As we take on the role of these game characters, we often find ourselves wondering what it would be like to be in their place.
Among all game characters, some just stand out for most people. These characters make us wish we could travel to a parallel universe, and live life as them even just for a single day. This would be the ultimate dream come true.
10 Pokemon Trainer: Pokemon Series
We all have dreamed of becoming Pokemon trainers at some point in our lives. To travel the different regions, catch as many wild Pokemon as possible, and challenge trainers and Gym Leaders. Pokemon fans long to prove that they are ”the very best, like no one ever was” – no pun intended.
Is it possible to do all this in a single day? Surely we can make this work. Let’s just hope we come across a legendary Pokemon such as Dialga to alter time, and extend our role of being a Pokemon trainer for a day.
9 Ezio Auditore Da Firenze: Assassin's Creed Series
Being a master assassin is something one could only dream of. Having superhuman abilities, like superior strength, speed, vision, and endurance, is something we all wish for – who wouldn’t? We surely would be jumping from the highest points possible like all the other assassins just for the sake of it. Besides that, you even get to be a part of real-life historical events alongside luminaries such as Leonardo da Vinci, Christopher Columbus and Nicolaus Copernicus.
Ezio Auditore has surely seen enough for one life. Living as Ezio for a day would only give us a tiny glimpse of an assassin's life — however, it would be better than not experiencing it at all.
8 Bayonetta: Bayonetta Series
What we wouldn’t give to become a sexy, charismatic, and powerful umbra witch like Bayonetta. It would be awesome to experience first-hand demolishing all the angels of inferno, with all the physical and magical skills that Bayonetta possess.
Specifically, we'd love Bayonetta’s unique abilities to slow down time and summon demon entities with her magical hair. Bayonetta is the epitome of a fantasy character — there's no one doing it like her, which gives people more reason to want to experience her bewitching life.
7 Nathan Drake: Uncharted Series
Living as Uncharted's Nathan Drake will surely take all history buffs and thrill-seekers on their most-awaited adventure, instead of staying at home playing video games all day – not to say that isn't fun. You get to travel across the globe, uncovering historical mysteries and treasures in breathtaking locations like the Atlantis of the Sands, Shambhala, and Libertalia.
Although as much fun as it sounds, you won’t be able to catch a break with all the action-adventure going on. Well, who would, knowing that there are hidden treasures somewhere out there. However, being able to get hold of those treasures would be worth it, at the end of the day. After experiencing one heck of a ride, hopefully we can take a few of those treasures back with us.
6 Niko Bellic: Grand Theft Auto IV
Most of us have dreamed of being a Grand Theft Auto character. Out of all the characters, Niko Bellic is who several GTA fans would like to experience being. Niko has the most realistic story and personality, and he always has legitimate reasons for every action he takes. Whether that be good or bad, players could somewhat understand and relate to him most.
However, at the end of the day Niko remains a fictional character. If given the chance to live as Niko, we surely would grab the opportunity to live life on the edge without having to face real-life consequences. Just repainting your car is enough to magically erase those mistakes. Daredevils will surely enjoy living as Niko Bellic the most.

Being a son of a legendary demon, and having a demonic twin brother, is what many gamers would envision when describing a fantasy life. The main protagonist of Devil May Cry is that character you’re looking for. Dante is capable of doing things out of the ordinary, like turning into a demon and enhancing his already superhuman abilities. In addition to that, Dante can easily heal from injuries, making him invincible in fights.
Would there be any other obvious reason why we'd like to be as awesome as Dante? Maybe owning Dante's iconic handguns, Ebony & Ivory, that rapidly fire and target two enemies at once. Living as Dante would definitely make you feel like a total badass.
4 Geralt Of Rivia: The Witcher Series
Geralt is one of the most fascinating game characters. His heightened senses, great physical strength, cold and cynical personality, and sexy, raspy voice are surely all things that captivate the audience. Living as the legendary Witcher would be a fantasy come true.
Many aspire to be as tough and heroic as Geralt, who hunts and slays all kinds of monsters and gets paid for it — unlike most game characters, who do it for free. We all deserve a reward for the hard work we put in. It would also be nice to have a bard like Dandelion around to dedicate songs about you.

Lara Croft is one of the most iconic female videogame characters. For the longest time, women have always been perceived as fragile beings. Lara Croft defied all that in the Tomb Raider series. She proved to the world that females can be just as tough, and capable of kicking ass. For that reason, Lara Croft has become one of the most prominent role models for women in the gaming industry.
Lara has also become one of the most cosplayed video game characters, which just proves how women aspire to be just as iconic as her. Well, who wouldn’t want to experience being an expert fighter, archeologist, treasure hunter, and tomb raider all in one? Not to mention having almost unlimited financial resources. Being a badass female icon like Lara Croft would certainly feel amazing.
2 Master Chief: Halo Series
Master Chief will give you a taste of what it is like to be an ultimate killing machine. His intelligence and incredible skills in combat are beyond the capabilities of any human being. His exploits in the Halo series have made him one of the strongest video game characters.
Who can casually say that they have punched a missile away and survived falling from space? Only Master Chief could. Living as Master Chief himself is the only way to find out what more he is capable of. It would also be cool to experience fighting in Master Chief’s iconic armor.
1 Kratos: God Of War Series
If you ever get the chance to live as a game character, there is no doubt that Kratos would be a part of that list. Who wouldn’t want to be a demigod, let alone the son of Zeus? Just that fact alone already makes his character interesting enough. But what makes him stand out even more is the fact that he took down several Greek gods in God Of War.
Who wouldn’t want the bragging rights of defeating the almighty Zeus, Poseidon, Hades, and Ares? Kratos has fought his way out of the underworld and escaped death several times. Being Kratos just makes you invincible — he's just too overpowered to accept death. Kratos is certainly one of a kind.
