If you like video games, then you probably like Funko Pops, and vice versa. Funko knows that which is why there is an awful lot of crossover between those two worlds. Funko has managed to turn characters from just about every major series and franchise into figures, and there are plenty of video game studios that have teamed with the iconic toy makers.
Funko has already teamed up with the creators of various video games on so many occasions, not only is it almost a sure thing that there's one for you, but sifting through all of the options can be pretty intimidating. While this guide might not include something for everyone, we've tried to include Pops from an array of different games for people starting out their Funko journeys, or adding to an already impressive collection.
Best Video Game Funko Pops
Shadow And Super Shadow Funko Pop! Two-Pack
Sonic's Not The Only One Who Can Go Super
Shadow and Super Shadow's Funko Pops are part of a two-pack and can't be bought separately. Both come with transparent stands to make it look like they're levitating above the ground.
- Shadow and Super Shadow in the same pack
- Reasonable price for a pair of pops
- Get your Shadow merch before he shows up in Sonic 3
- Figures cannot be bought separately
Other than some bit-part appearances in Sonic Prime, Shadow hasn't been getting nearly enough love for far too long. Since Sega seems adamant about not remastering or remaking the PS2's Shadow the Hedgehog, I guess I'll have to settle for this pair of Pops. And what a pair of Pops they are. Shadow in his normal form and Super Shadow, both with transparent stands to make it look like they're flying. Add more Shadow merch to your collection via the Shadow's Escape Lego set included in our best Sonic Lego sets guide, and get it all before Shadow steals the show in Sonic 3, hitting cinemas at the end of 2024.
Batman Arkham Asylum Game Covers Funko Pop
Return To Arkham Asylum
Funko has taken some of the iconic characters it has turned into Pops and packaged them with a backdrop featuring one of the things that made them so famous. This Covers Pops! has the Batman from Arkham Asylum standing in front of the cover art for the fantastic superhero game.
- Part of Funko's fantastic Covers collection
- Picked the best installment in the trilogy to give the Covers treatment
- Exclusively available through the official Funko site
Now that Insomniac has three Spider-Man games, the debates over whether they're better than Rocksteady's Arkham trilogy are in full swing. I think as a trilogy, Spidey might have Batman beaten. However, I don't think anything Insomniac has made yet compares to Arkham Asylum one-on-one. Anything that reminds me of just how good that game is is very welcome in my home, and this Covers Pop! naturally falls under that banner. A Batman Funko Pop! with the cover art from Arkham Asylum behind him, complete with a case to protect it all.
Jedi Fallen Order Cal Kestis Funko Pop!
Start Rebuilding Your Funko Order
Cal Kestis and BD-1 as a Funko Pop! The best partnership between a badass and their adorable sidekick in all of Star Wars. Yes, that does include Mando and Grogu.
- Two terrific characters for the price of one
- Blue lightsaber, the best lightsaber, included
- Mullet Cal not included
I know people are clamoring for shows, movies, and games that cover corners of the Star Wars universe that aren't crawling with Jedis, but come on, everyone loves a lightsaber. So much so that the Funkos that include lightsabers are the best of all. That's just a fact. Put that lightsaber in the hands of Cal Kestis, the best Jedi of all, and throw his companion droid BD-1 in there for good measure, you may well have the very best video game Funko Pop! in existence.
The Last Of Us Clicker Funko Pop!
Are You Infected?
Terrifying in the games. Terrifying in the show. Now you can be terrified anywhere, anytime as The Last of Us's Clickers have infected the Funko world.
- 2023's scariest TV monster on your Funko shelf
- Easily the most instantly recognizable TLOU Funko available
- Doesn't look that much like an actual Clicker due to art design
- Expensive as they can be hard to find
Between the games and the show, The Last Of Us is a huge deal right now. Everyone knows who Joel and Ellie are now as even though they are and always will be video game characters, the apocalyptic universe they call home has transcended gaming. That's why there has never been a better time to add this Clicker Funko to your collection. The only downside is you'll be reminded of how terrifying they'd be if they were real. That can't happen, right? I've not eaten anything with flour in it for months, just in case.
Mortal Kombat Sub-Zero Funko Pop!
Finish Him!
Sub-Zero may well be the most famous Mortal Kombat fighter in the series' history, so any video game Funko collection that doesn't include him is always going to be missing something.
- Mortal Kombat's most famous fighter as a Funko
- Mortal Kombat bigger than it ever has been before right now
- Really doesn't feel right without Scorpion next to him
- Seller appears to have spelled Mortal Kombat incorrectly
If you're only going to include one Mortal Kombat Funko in your collection, nay, one Funko from any and all fighting games, then make that Funko Sub-Zero. So instantly recognizable in all circles, I'm fairly certain you could show this Funko to my mom and she would be able to say who it is. At the very least she would say "Oh, it's the ice guy from that fighting movie". It's also the cheapest option on this list if lowest price is the number one factor for you right now.
Insomniac Spider-Man Funko Pop!
Your Friendly Neighborhood Funko Pop!
Insomniac's Spider-Man is almost as famous as the movie versions at this point. It's only right he have his very own Funko Pop!
- Fits in with a variety of different collections
- Very cool transparent web stand
- Does not come with that new, very cool-looking symbiote suit
Yes, I have found a way to bring two of my worlds together. I was always going to squeeze a superhero in here somehow, so the discovery that Insomniac's Spider-Man has his very own Funko Pop! made me very excited. Both so I can buy one for myself and recommend the rest of you do the same. He fits in with your video game Funkos, your Marvel Funkos, or the Spider-Verse Funko collection you should definitely have.
Master Chief Funko Pop!
Ready Up, Spartans
One of the most iconic video game characters ever and Xbox's mascot, even after Infinite, no video game Funko collection is complete without Halo's Master Chief.
- Comes with Master Chief's assault rifle
- Somehow looks cute and deadly at the same time
- A constant reminder Halo isn't what it used to be
Regardless of where the Halo series is in terms of state and popularity right now, there's no escaping the fact it is the best thing Xbox has done to date. Giving the console the best start to life it could have hoped for and remaining its flagship series for more than 20 years and counting (just about), Master Chief has been leading the way for Xbox for a very long time. If your Funko collection is made up of only the most iconic video game characters ever, Master Chief needs to be a part of it.
BioShock's Big Daddy Funko Pop!
Big Daddy, Big Funko
Big Daddy is probably what springs to mind whenever someone thinks about BioShock, so picking it as the series' best Funko Pop! only makes sense, right?
- A big, very well-designed Funko
- Another much cheaper version is also available
- Very rare, so it's going to cost you a lot
It's been a while since we last got a BioShock game, and with no word on when the next one will be here, if ever, replaying the old games is the only way to get your BioShock fix right now. Well, that and buying this Big Daddy Funk Pop! for your collection. A rather intimidating Pop! both in size and price, the rarity of this particular collectible means at this moment in time, it's probably going to cost you a lot of money. It's worth it if you're a big BioShock fan and a serious collector, though.
