People who think video games is mostly a boy’s club clearly haven’t seen some of the awesome heroines that have come out of gaming. Even in the beginning, we’ve seen some wonderful female heroes in classic games that inspired all of us gamer girls to be as tough and strong as them.
From the surprise that Samus Aran turned out to be a woman, to the classic Lara Croft in Tomb Raider, video games have always had awesome female characters. And it’s only gotten better over the years. We’re now getting female heroes of different body types, capabilities, and styles. And we’re seeing more of them, which is also great (because let’s face it, the guy to girl ratio is still pretty heavy in favor of the guy).
I think my favorite video game heroine is probably Samus Aran. She’s just so awesome and tough, and I always loved playing the Metroid games with her. And I totally want her suit.
These awesome heroines have had a lot of fan art devoted to them. And some fans like to play around with these characters, putting them in different situations and reimaging them to be a bit different than you’d usually see them. And this includes see what they would look like as mothers. Wouldn’t you want to see how these amazing heroines would look like with their own kids?

20 It’s An Alien Relationship
In some ways, it’s a little difficult to imagine Samus as the motherly type, since she’s this tough bounty hunter that tends to work alone most of the time. But if we want to get technical, Samus has been a mother before. Sort of.
If you count a Metroid hatchling imprinting on Samus when it was born, then yes, Samus is a mother. She even mourns the baby when it sacrifices itself to save her from Mother Brain. So, these two are family, sort of. And that’s what this artist is playing around with. The idea of Samus dealing with an adolescent Metroid is a funny one. I wonder how that dynamic would be.

19 It’s A Royal Family
Zelda may be a princess, but don’t let her fancy clothes fool you. She can take you on and end you pretty easily. Considering how many times she’s had to stand up to evil threatening her kingdom, it’s impressive she’s held it together this long. This is one tough lady.
Zelda would be a kind but very firm mother.
I could actually see Zelda being a great mother. She’s kind and caring, but also firm and authoritative when she needs to be. She is the leader of Hyrule, after all. She would be that kind but firm mom to her kids. And this interpretation of her with her child is very sweet.
18 Think Her Child Would Go To Space Too?
The fact that you can choose for Commander Shepard in Mass Effect to be female is pretty awesome. And she’s proven to be a capable leader. Nothing’s going to stop this lady from doing what she believes is right.
Seeing Shepard as a mom would be interesting. I could see her being a strict mom, but you know she’d love her kids with all her heart. Though would she still command a ship after having kids, or would she retire? Hard to say. I like this picture of her since it’s before she’s officially become a mom. You can tell she’s looking forward to having this child.

17 She Deserves To Have A Nice Family
Lucina is a pretty awesome lady. Not only is she from the future, but she’s a formidable warrior as well. And you have to admit she’s pretty strong. Considering she came from a rather dark future where she lost both parents to war, her strength is seriously impressive.
Lucina as a mother would be amazing! Considering she lost her parents pretty early on in life, she would be totally dedicated to being there for her kids. And according to this artist, her kid would definitely have her hair, which is super cute. This family is just too adorable, and you just want them to be happy.

16 Is The Mushroom Kingdom Ready For This Kid?
Peach may be the princess of Mushroom Kingdom, but we’re not sure if she’s a very good one. Considering how many times Peach gets captured by Bowser, you’d think they’d have better security protocols in place. Well, at least her people seem to love her.
Peach starting a family with Mario is a cute idea.
It would be interesting to see Peach as a mom (though it has been implied that she’s the mother of Bowser Jr. Don’t ask me how that would work.) But her starting up a family with Mario is a sweet idea, and that’s what this artist decides to have fun with. I think their kid is super cute, though I’m not sure why she has red hair.

15 She’s Totally The Mom Friend
The thing I love about Mercy from Overwatch is that she can be this very kind, compassionate healer, and she can also be this tough warrior that will take you out. It shows that you can be kind but also tough.
Mercy is pretty much the mom figure for the Overwatch heroes anyway (especially the younger ones), so it’s not that hard to imagine her as a mom. She kind of just has that aura. What I love about this art piece is that it puts Mercy in a very domestic setting, something you wouldn’t normally see her in. And Reaper as a kid is kind of adorable.

14 Make Way For The Next Tomb Raider
You can’t get much more iconic than Lara Croft. She’s one of the first female protagonists in gaming, and she paved the way for other video game heroines. This is one tough lady who doesn’t ever stop.
It’s a little hard to imagine Lara Croft as a mother, but I think she would be a good one. You know she would love her child like crazy. Though would she take her kid on her adventures, or would she leave them with a babysitter? Somehow, I can’t imagine her settling down after having a kid. Maybe her child can follow in her footsteps!

13 From Lab Rat To Mother
Imagine having to go up against the most powerful artificial intelligence that has existed. Well, that’s pretty much what Chell had to do. Considering everything she’s been through, it’s impressive that Chell is still somewhat sane. (Well, as sane as one can get after being treated like a lab rat.)
Chell may struggle at first at being a mother.
I think Chell may struggle at first at the parenting, but she’s never been known to give up, so she would totally get it down eventually. This artist’s interpretation is pretty interesting and cute since it portrays Chell as Wheatley’s mother. It’s an interesting twist on their dynamic, but I like it. And toddler Wheatley is so cute!

12 It’s Cuddle Time For This Alien Mother
What’s pretty awesome about Liara T’Soni is that she’s this brilliant scientist who’s dedicated the last fifty years of her life studying Prothean technology and culture. Now that’s dedication! Plus, you have to admit that her design is pretty awesome.
I think Liara would be a very good mom. She’s dedicated to the things she loves, and I’m sure she would love her kids with all her heart. And this art piece of her and her baby is absolutely adorable. She totally would cuddle with her child. I wonder if she would bring her child on digs? Probably not since they have a tendency to get dangerous.

11 Her Own Little Fighter
Out of all the characters from Street Fighter, Chun Li is one of the most popular fighters. She’s powerful, she’s cute, and she’s not afraid to kick your behind. Don’t let her small size fool you; this lady packs a pretty awesome punch!
And Chun Li as a mom is a very sweet idea. Since she’s such a tough woman normally, seeing her softer side is rather nice. And I love this artist’s interpretation. Both mother and child look absolutely fantastic in their traditional outfits. They look so sweet! I think Chun Li would make an amazing mother. She would definitely make sure her child knows about their culture.

10 She’s A Goddess Of A Mother
What if you had a literal goddess for a mother? Well that’s Palutena. This lady is very kind-hearted and cares a lot for the human race, putting their welfare and needs before her own. And she’s always doing what she can to help Pit in his adventures and quests.
Palutena would be an amazing mother.
You know Palutena would make a wonderful mother. She’s kind, patient, and loving. And I like that this artist portrays Palutena and Pit as mother and son. While the two aren’t actually related, I could see them in this dynamic. Baby Pit is absolutely adorable and Palutena just looks so happy and serene.

9 A Hylian Twili Kid Would Be Adorable
Midna is definitely my favorite out of all of Link’s companions. She’s sassy, she’s mischievous, and she’s a bit grey in her motivations. For the first part of the game, you don’t really know why she’s helping Link, but it’s obvious she has her own agenda going on. But by the end, she and Link end up pretty close.
And that’s why a lot of fans like imagining what these two would be like as parents. I have to say, this picture of them is very sweet. Midna would be a pretty interesting mom. I can’t decide if she would be strict or more relaxed; she could go either way.

8 Their Kids Would Be Unstoppable
Kitana may be 10,000 years old, but don’t let that fool you. This lady could end you without breaking a sweat. Plus, she’s an actual princess! And did you know that she and Liu Kang were a thing? I could see those two being a great couple.
Kitana as a mom would be interesting. I think she would be a pretty tough mom, but she would also adore her kids. And I love this artist’s look at Kitana and Liu Kang as parents. Their kids are pretty cute. Plus, can you imagine how powerful their kids would be? No one and nothing could stop them.

7 It’s An Odd But Adorable Family
One of the most popular pairings in the Mass Effect series is the romance you can do between female Shepard and Garrus Vakarian. And even though these two are rather different in appearance and personality, they make a pretty amazing couple. It would be cool to see these two settle down and have a family.

And this artist decided to make it a thing, and it’s a pretty adorable scene. I wonder if the two would be compatible to have kids? If so, they’re pretty cute! And the image of this family going on a beach outing is pretty sweet. Shepard would totally be that firm, no-nonsense mom, but you know she’d love her kids.
6 This Family Is A Classic
Before Mario had to go rescue Peach, there was Jumpman and Pauline. Jumpman had to go up against the original Donkey Kong. He was jumping barrels, avoiding obstacles, and doing what it takes to rescue his lady. And these two make a pretty fun couple. We can only hope that they settled down and had a few kids.
I like this picture of the family since it implies that Jumpman and Pauline are actually the parents of Mario and Luigi. And you have to admit, that would make sense. Pauline would be a great mom. She seems like a classy lady, so she would probably teach her kids to be polite and kind.

5 She Would Be An Amazing Mom
While Miranda Lawson may not be as well-known as other female characters in the Mass Effect series, she’s still a seriously awesome character. I love the fact that she has all these connections, and her abilities are pretty impressive, being an engineered human. You don’t want to mess with this lady.
Considering Miranda never had a mother and has plenty of issues with her father, I could see her being a bit nervous about being a mother. But I like this artist’s look at the happy family. Miranda looks so content and peaceful and her child is so cute. She definitely deserves some peace.

4 She Would Be A Powerful Mom
Out of all the champions in Breath of the Wild, you wouldn’t think that Lady Urbosa would be the most motherly. She’s incredibly powerful and tends to give off this slightly menacing aura. And yet, Urbosa proves to be quite the mother figure to Zelda. The moments we see between the two are seriously sweet.

Lady Urbosa would be an awesome mother. She would be a very no-nonsense mother, but when push comes to shove, you know she would defend and protect her kids with all of her might and strength. I’d feel bad for anyone who threatened them. And pregnant Urbosa looks absolutely fabulous!

3 This Family Is Just Too Cute
While Princess Daisy may not be as well-known as Princess Peach, she’s still a fantastic lady. She’s known mostly for having an obsession with flowers and being a bit of a tomboy. And she’s also known for being Luigi’s girlfriend.
I think Daisy and Luigi make a seriously cute couple. And a lot of fans agree. This artist decided to do an adorable art piece with the happy couple and their own kids. And it is so sweet! The fact that the kids are Baby Luigi and Baby Daisy is interesting. Maybe these two ended up taking care of their younger counterparts. Well, weirder things have happened.

2 These Two Deserve A Happy Ending
One thing’s for certain: Elena Drake is no damsel in distress. She plays a big role in all of the Uncharted games, and by the fourth one, she’s actually married to Nathan Drake. She ends up helping Nathan as much as he helps her. They really are an awesome couple who’ve come to trust each other a lot.
It actually is canon that Elena and Nathan have a kid of their own, named Cassie. And you have to admit that the three make a very adorable family. You can tell that Elena and Nathan adore their daughter so much. They’d definitely be protective parents.
1 Don’t Mess With This Momma
It’s tough to sometimes feel like you’re stuck between two worlds, but for Corrin, it happened in quite the way. She was thought to be the Nohr princess, but then found out she’s the princess of Nohr’s rival: Hoshido. It couldn’t have been easy for her to choose between her adopted family and her birth family.
I pity anyone who tries to mess with her kids.
I think Corrin would definitely be a protective mom. And that’s what this artist thought too. You know that if someone threatened her kid, she would end them without a second thought. I pity anyone that tried to hurt her children. I also like that in this art piece, Corrin’s kid has her hair; it’s a nice touch.
