Developer Draw Distance has announced that Vampire: The Masquerade - Shadows of New York, the standalone expansion to the previously released Corteries of New York, will be releasing on September 10, 2020. Heading to PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch, this new installment will pick up a short while after the previous game and continue on with the visual novel style of the first.

An exceptionally brief trailer reveals the date and nothing else. We only have past info to go off of, some of which has now been updated on the Steam store page. It simply covers what we already know, which might be good for those unaware of the existence of this title.

With the news that Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 has been delayed into 2021, this seems to be the only game we'll get with the same branding. Draw Distance isn't related to the work that Paradox is doing, but both take place in the "World of Darkness" universe.

It's always interesting to see different takes on the same source material, so I'm sure fans of Bloodlines will get something out of Shadows of New York. There's only a few weeks left until its release, so you won't need to suck too much blood to stay alive.
