Walmart will be restocking its online shelves with a fresh batch of PS5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles this afternoon. The inventory is expected to go live at 3pm ET – so get those tabs open and start refreshing.

Here's where you can find all available consoles:

Getting your hands on a next-gen console has been nothing short of a headache, as scalpers continue to snatch them up as soon as they go live. Walmart has been dropping exact times for inventory refreshes only moments they're released to the masses, but resellers and their army of bots still seem to walk away with most of the new units.

An electronics chain in Tokyo found a great way to combat this – although its first attempt resulted in police intervention. Now, they simply require you to purchase a PS5 console with their own company credit card. Scalpers have already made approximately $58 million in the US, and that number is only going to rise in the coming months.

Microsoft has confirmed that this console shortage won't end until June at the earliest, as the company continues to struggle with supply chain issues due to the pandemic. Between acquiring chipsets, manufacturing the consoles, and safely shipping them to retailers, the launch of Series X|S has been nothing short of a headache.

Still, both Microsoft and Sony have to be pleased with the sales figures put up by both consoles. Sony is hoping to sell 14.8 million PS5 units in the next 12 months, although shortages will probably cause it to fall short of that mark.

"When we try to increase our capacity, we face difficulties because of this global situation," Hiroki Totoki, Sony's executive deputy president and CFO explained. Sony hasn't said how long it expects its production to be strained, although the same June timeline as Microsoft would make sense – as they're both dealing with the same semiconductor shortage.

If you happened to miss this sale, keep your eyes peeled in the coming weeks. New inventory is always popping up, and it's best to be on a constant lookout.
