Warcraft 3: Reforged is now has the lowest user score on Metacritic ever.

Why? Because Blizzard released a sub-par remake that actually removed many features and failed to live up to its promises. Reforged currently has a user score on Metacritic of 0.5 out of 10 with over 20,000 negative reviews.

Back in 2018 when Warcraft 3: Reforged was first announced, Blizzard was still riding high. Overwatch was still the king of arena shooters and World of Warcraft Classic was about to cash in on Blizzard fan's nostalgia in a few short months. For Blizzard, life was good.

Now it seems to all be going to hell. First was Diablo Immortal, then the Blitzchung controversy, and now Warcraft 3: Reforged.

When Reforged was first announced, Blizzard promised a slew of upgrades for the remaster. Upgraded graphics, a new UI, revamped cutscenes, and several other upgrades were all touted as giving players a new game along with their dose of nostalgia.

What they got didn't live up to the hype. Reforged definitely has upgraded graphics, but even that has been marred by reports of poor performance and low frame rates. All other promises are nowhere to be found.

That new UI? It's just the same as the old one, only without the weird bookends. Those all-new cutscenes that Blizzard promised? Cut. You can still see one of them on the Reforged website, but it's not in the game.

"Everything blizzard promised while promoting the game, except "upgraded graphics", was cut out of the game," wrote one angry reviewer on Metacritic. "It looks clunky, also low fps even with a good PC setup."

Another reviewer confirmed that "even the menus run like ****."

On top of that, Blizzard has changed the rules for Warcraft 3: Reforged. In order to prevent another Dota 2, Reforged's custom maps now all legally belong to Blizzard as soon as they're created--a heavy-handed move which will surely stifle whatever creativity might have come to Reforged.

Some features were even removed. Clans, leaderboards, and other multiplayer features present in Warcraft III Classic were removed when Reforged arrived, so even players that didn't opt for the remaster are getting the shaft.

"An absolute scam of the highest magnitude. Others have described the problems much better than I ever could," one review concludes. "Blizzard is dead."
