Here's how you can get all the Acolyte mods in Warframe.

In Warframe, mods are how you unlock true potential. With the right mods, almost any weapon or Warframe can become a true contender and take you all around the solar system, defeating some of the game's most difficult content.

But some of the most powerful mods are the hardest to get. Many of those mods can only be obtained roughly once every year during the limited-time event when the Shadow Stalker's minions return to the solar system. Defeating the Shadow Stalker's Acolytes is the only way to obtain these hard-to-get mods. Lucky for you, we're here to help you out.

Finding The Acolytes

Acolytes

Digital Extremes always make an announcement when the Shadow Stalker’s Acolytes return to the system. Once they’ve arrived, their presence will be indicated on the World State Window with a special marker. At first, the World State Window won’t tell you where the Acolytes are and it’s up to the community to track them down.

Of course, with nothing to go on, finding an Acolyte is all a matter of luck--at least to start. As soon as any player wanders across an Acolyte, that Acolyte’s location is uploaded to all the Tenno in the system. Now everyone can pile into that specific mission to find and defeat the Acolyte and get at those rare mods.

However, Acolytes don’t stick around forever. Once the Acolyte is found, the World State Window will display its remaining health. It has quite a bit of health that’s shared globally with all playing Tenno, so it'll last a good while, but once it’s gone it’s gone for good. You’ll have to get in and kill that Acolyte before it disappears for another year.

Fighting the Acolytes is basically the same as fighting the Shadow Stalker himself. Once found, the screen will flash in a very Shadow Stalkery way, then the Acolyte will appear, say a few words, and start trying to claw your face off. Low MR players will certainly find the Acolytes to be challenging, but high MR players won’t have much to worry about. Just make sure you come loaded for bear and the Acolytes will fall relatively easily.

Each Acolyte can drop four mods, with two being uncommon, one common, and one rare. All of them are worth having, although a few are more worth-having than others. Those mods are:

Angst: Pressurized Magazine, Repeater Clip, Spring-Loaded Chamber, Body Count

Mania: Nano-Applicator, Embedded Catalyzer, Weeping Wounds, Catalyzer Link

Torment: Argon Scope, Blood Rush, Laser Sight, Hydraulic Crosshairs

Violence: Maiming Strike, Bladed Rounds, Sharpened Bullets, Shrapnel Shot

Malice: Narrow Barrel, Guided Ordnance, Targeting Subsystem, Focused Defense

Misery: has a small chance to drop any of the above mods

Of all the mods, Blood Rush, Argon Scope, Hydraulic Crosshairs, and Weeping Wounds are very much something to keep an eye out for. Maiming Strike is another high-value mod that you should definitely grab, but it’s lost some of its utility ever since the introduction of Melee 3.0. It’s still a very good mod and very usable in certain weapons, but with so many of Warframe’s melee weapons becoming more viable, the “spin to win” combo of Maiming Strike and Galatine Prime isn’t the only way to turn your Warframe into a blender.

Tragically, the Acolytes have already come and gone in February of 2020. Last time it took over a year for the Acolytes to return, although DE has occasionally brought them back out after just 6 months when there’s a bit of a content drought. We’ll have to be patient for the Acolyte’s return, but if you just can’t wait, you can always trade for these mods on the Warframe market.
