Crafting the new Citrine Warframe will require players to dive into the new Mirror Defense game mode. Tenno will have to fight against a constant stream of Grineer and Corpus units as they preserve two lovers: Rania and Belric. Defending the crystalized couple will grant the Citrine Warframe alongside the new weapons that launched with Citrine's Last Wish.

While the activity itself is fairly easy, it can be confusing learning how it works or even how to unlock it. This guide will showcase what Mirror Defense is, how to unlock it, all rewards tied to this game mode, and we'll give some general tips to maximize your time in Tyrana Pass.

How To Unlock Mirror Defense

Warframe Otak Message

Tyrana Pass, a Mars tile that houses the Mirror Defense game type, is unlocked immediately upon completing the "Heart of Deimos" quest. The quest itself is unlocked upon completing the Earth to Mars Junction, and any players who've already completed "Heart of Deimos" will have this mission unlocked automatically. Otak will send a message to your inbox once you unlock Tyrana Pass.

Mirror Defense Basics

Warframe Citrine's Last Wish Rania Crystal

Mirror Defense is your typical endless Defense mission with a slight twist. This activity features two defense objectives that rotate every two and a half minutes, similar to how Uranus Defense missions work. During this time, various crystals called Citrine's Remnants will spawn in the arena that can be grabbed by walking through them. Grabbing 50 fragments of Citrine's Remnants will activate a Prismatic Ward, fully restoring the defense objective's shields while granting five Rania or Belric Crystals. The objective you're defending determines which crystals you'll be awarded.

Essentially, this is less of a typical Defense and more of a timed scavenger hunt. Your goal is to grab as many crystals as possible. Defending the objectives is still important but not the main priority here. We highly recommend bringing crowd control Warframes or slow abilities (notably Sevagoth's Gloom) to make this mission easier.

Defending both crystals once will complete a rotation of this game type, taking roughly six minutes per rotation. Rotational rewards include crystal currencies, blueprints for Citrine and her signature weapons, Arcanes, and Endo. Exact drop tables can be found in the next section.

Rewards And Drop Tables

Warframe Otak's Offerings Citrine's Last Wish

Similar to Conjunction Survival, Mirror Defense features rotational rewards and a vendor that sells deterministic rewards. Completing objectives in Mirror Defense will grant Ranai and Belric Crystal Fragments, two currency types you can exchange with Otak at the Necralisk for specific rewards. This activity drops the Citrine Warframe, the Corufell heavy scythe, the Steflos shotgun, and five new Arcanes.

Tips And Tricks

Warframe Citrine's Last Wish Update Art
  • Bring Titania: Collecting Citrine's Remnants is your main source of activity currency. Titania's Razorwing ability makes this a breeze.
  • Crowd Control Is King: If you're attempting to clear this on Steel Path, consider bringing crowd control Warframes or abilities to slow the enemies down, giving you more time to find Citrine's Remains.
