Today is an important day for Warframe players. Rhino Prime has just been unvaulted. One of the best Warframe’s in the game and certainly one of the most used Frames, Rhino is the perfect combination of crowd control, team buffing, movement, and toughness. It’s no surprise why Rhino is so popular, and Rhino Prime improves on the original Rhino with additional armor, sprint speed, and an extra mod polarity.
Alongside one of the best Prime Warframes comes Nyx Prime, one of the worst Frames in the game. Her kit of mind control abilities used to be top-tier in Warframe’s early days, but today, Nyx has been overshadowed by pretty much every other Warframe in the game. You can still have some fun with Nyx’s ability to convert an entire army to her side, but her lack of defenses makes her difficult to use in high-level activities.
We should note that although Nyx is now available from standard Void Relic missions, she was already previously unvaulted as part of Railjack Void Storm missions. However, there are still plenty of Warframe players who still don’t have a Railjack, so this is likely your first opportunity to acquire Nyx Prime.
The same Void Relics that bring back these vaulted Warframes also bring back a collection of weapons, including Ankyros Prime, Boltor Prime, Hikou Prime, Scindo Prime. Scindo Prime and Ankyros Prime are two melee weapons that very much fit into Rhino's repertoire of smash first and ask questions later, while Boltor Prime and Hikou Prime appeal to Nyx's "stay away from harm" sensibilities.
As with all unvaultings, Digital Extremes is also putting Nyx and Rhino Prime on sale. For $60 USD, you can get both Prime Warframes, all previously mentioned weapons, and several cosmetic items in the Nyx and Rhino Prime Dual Pack. Or you can pay $40 for just Rhino Prime or Nyx Prime individually alongside two of the four weapons. Both packages come with a bit of Platinum to sweeten the deal.
